currently watching! they say it’s a low-budget drama but it really feels like the production team put their heart into it despite the limited budget. the sets and outfits are very meticulous in embodying that era. how should i describe it? the texture feels like a movie, it looks natural and pleasing to watch. there are several bizarre and funny scenes 🤣 and the family moments are really touching 🥹 if the quality remains consistent, i really think this could become my second fave drama of zhou ye.

it’s fine if fans don’t want their fave artist to collaborate (again) with certain artists, but they should voice that to the agency rather than vent their frustrations at the artists themselves since these artists also follow their management and many of them come from ordinary backgrounds. i also came to like many of the male leads zy has collaborated with and will even continue to support their dramas if they appeal to me–as most of them even became zy’s friends afterward (or atleast had good relationship). it’s not right for zy to be targeted for something she has no control over and i see that her fandom tries not to impose ideas on her on the guise of 'love and care', complaints and issues are simply directed to he song.

idk how good zy resources are compare to others. she evidently debuted as a movie actress (that became popular and had award nominations) before joining he song but has only acted on a to b grade dramas ever since joining. lotfg is the highest which is s grade but she was invited here because of her performance in bftb. but i do read somewhere that lbb protects her from the shady activities in the industry so that offsets my regrets of her having so few (and low quality) dramas.
