FL is strong willed; down to state she'll follow the ML even in death and followed through.

I stayed for the ML's heartbreaking selfless love and I was not disappointed. It was nice to finally see characters saying something as simple as "I miss you."

The ending is drastically different from the Korean version. More satisfying and not-as-sad ending, but still plenty of tears.

If you're in the mood for selfless sacrificing love, then this hits the spot.

I did liked the story but the acting was a bit weak.

I believe "getting rid of his emotions and feelings" was for the grand scheme of things -- because it'll just cause more problems if he lets his emotions affect his decisions. He's devoted to her regardless of what may come toward himself. I thought that was wonderful to watch.

Reminds me of Amy Chen in Eagle Flag. She did an amazing job with her mature role as a young princess.

FL is a strong character but she annoyingly decides to believe the other girl instead of the guy she has spent so much time with. So what do we get to watch? Too many episodes of emotional stupidity.

The last dramatic arc is lame. ML can read everyone like a prophet throughout the drama but becomes a complete moron versus a fake-blind and taking care of your gf. Weak writing; they're already happy together, why turn it into a pointless melodrama?

Why not go all the way and have her actually lose her eyes and then ML can give her his eyes circa 2000s kdrama? Instead they write FL to spend more hopeless moments with the teacher (so he can be a skallywag and betray ML) and ML with the faker.

there better be a good reason why the manager with glasses acts like a little b*tch toward ML because it feels like some high school drama ish.

Kind of funny to watch a bunch of wannabe nerds acting wannabe gangsters; all hard and trying to get physical.

I wouldn't describe the 2nd life as disturbing. The FL lead goes through a heartbreaking trial as a mortal (her 2nd life). There's no assault/slavery... It's important because that life is her initial connection with the ML that further expands their love story.

ep 1 is full of cringe... even the short films by youtubers have better direction than this...

Underwhelming. Barely any development in romance. 50% of the movie is useless cgi martial arts...

Gotta admit, was skeptical about a former kpop idol leading, but Jie Qiong is very naturally on screen and her expressions are on point.

Such as the scene where Cream's husband comes home to finding her pretty much dead from committing suicide after watching K's final video.

Maybe you were thinking of the scenes from the music video? I remember the music video had scenes that were not in the movie.

The whole story is romance focused (story, dialogue, and emotions), so if that's what you're looking for then stick with it. If you're looking for action, then it's minimal.

People are weird. When a FL is a Mary Sue, they complain. And now when a FL is subdued, they still complain.

I personally really enjoyed their encounters; from the innocent first meeting, to the skeptical revelation, the touching scenes, and to their silly banters.

Fan Xian's scenes with the other girls are unique in their own way too. So, it's nice to see the different interactions.

I'm a sucker for those selfless romantic male leads. Trying to binge watch this to get to those scenes!
