I haven't watched Ever Night actually. JoL S1 is the first 40+ Ep Chinese Drama that I'm actually enjoying and watching. Otherwise I stay away from those long dramas.
I'm hoping that the cast will be same maybe some more new faces as new characters are always welcome but let the mains be same from previous season. Really waiting for it to air ASAP.
Dropped it at E32... couldn't bear this shit anymore 🤯 It's just a Costume Makjang IMO. Idk why this show has a '8' rating with people in the reviews rating it 10. I honestly watched this in vain hoping that things will get better and since I like Hu Yuxian and Lin Xin Yi but nah this went straight downhill all the way when "Naxi" appeared and ruined their already "not-so-stable" relation. Bad guy has so much resources and power while the ML is a d*ckhead (Pardon me for my language). I simply wasted my time and data to download all the episodes in one go while trying to binge-watch. This deserves a "3" star from me.
I haven't watched his works properly just the cameo in My Heroic Husband and idk why but I think he has Yoo Ah-in vibes. Yoo Ah-in is one of my fav actors.
Why Mr. Queen is there in the list? I have watched Vincenzo, My Roommate is a Gumiho, Youth of May, Dali and the Cocky Prince while dropped Doom at Your Service and still have Squid Game, Happiness, Our Beloved Summer, D.P., Move to Heaven in my Plan to watch list. 2021 has been a disappointing year for me as far as Kdramas are concerned. No other drama caught my eyes.
My first choice would've been "My Heroic Husband" if it didn't have that "Bandits" story arc :( Otherwise I loved My Little Happiness, Moonlight, YAMG, Our Secret, A River Runs Through It and To Fly with you.
I just recently got into Wuxia/Xianxia and it wasnt easy at first as I was avoiding them for a long time so I…
Thank you for recommending these shows.... I've watched YAMG already and will try Eternal Love but Idk if I'd be able to complete it cuz it has 59 Eps 😥 I have never completed any 40+ Ep Drama.
Sorry I did the other way around... I'm here after watching My Heroic Husband.... and I wanna know.... how much screen time does Guo Qilin and Song Yi have here? And do they play Siblings here?
Just completed watching this drama. I haven't watched JoL yet so I won't compare. The first half or should I say till E17 it was really smooth, funny and entertaining while from E18 to E31 it kinda went downhill with that Bandits arch. It should've lasted for only 5-6 Eps max and then they could've showed "Palatial Politics" and all. Second half barely had any romance b'ween ML-FL neither it had those fun moments. Only time I laughed was when the "Cousin-in-law" and his Dad were on-screen and to some extent at Ning-yi's friends.
But from E32 it again got interesting and that cliffhanger....!! I am now excited while still being kinda optimistic for Season 2. I hope they make it like the first half of this season although I know it won't have those funny moments that much since it'll revolve around "Politics", Plotting and Revenge but I sincerely hope they'd give ample time to our Couple in next season. Idk why they didn't focus on their romance even a tiny bit, I mean it doesn't have to have a lot of Kiss scenes or anything. I am up for some "Platonic Love" too but at least give them some screen space together.... perhaps they didn't cuz our ML doesn't fit the usual "Flower-boy" or "Macho" category :(
Wow interesting article!! I've watched at least half of the shows mentioned in the list. Secret Garden is damn overrated :| I just watched it cuz of Oska and young Lee Jong-suk. DOBY could've been better if China didn't have those guidelines while Spring turns to Spring was a good watch it was hilarious and my fav is 'Daddy You, Daughter Me', although I had to watch it with bad subs :'( I dropped 'Two Cops' on E2.
I'm now interested to watch 'Psychona Futari' since I've read in the comments that it'll have a Korean remake :)
Really waiting for it to air ASAP.

When's it gonna air? I hope they have a great chemistry like ParkPark Couple <3
