OMG! This is another gem from Yoon A. She's fast becoming one of my favorite actresses now. And my goodness, i didnt notice how how good loking Lee Chae Min before until now - that man is gorgeous and he really looks kingly. The camera work is exceptional esprcially during the food cooking parts - makes you crave for Korean food. It looks like a very expensive series with high production value.
At the risk of people striking me, i would say this show is about 5 times better than that other new starstudded fantasy Korean series which premiered on Disney+ also today.
Had very high expectation, but the first episode was a disappointment . Hope it improves
goodness i thought i was the only one thinking the same thing - this is one of those ive been waiting for so long - MDW, SIG and PHS in one show, but goodness for the star studded cast this looks low-budget with really cheap sets and ugly makeup. The epic storyline felt like a children's fairy tale.

I am with you! I hate Hua Yong. After the crazy antic during hte meeting, when Shao You met and hugged Hua YOng at their house the background music was so inappropriate as if its the most loving scene in the entire world - the music should be horror - the manipulation and the psychotic antics is so creepy.
Is this really over? Does anybody know or have any info if theres going to be a continuation?
thanks for the replies guys. I know its hard to expect a sequel especially now that both main leads have seen their star rise exponentially because of this show. A lot of actors nowadays use BLs to gain a loyal fanbase and move on to other projects that is especially true with the case of Huang Jingyu of that ill-fated Addicted Heroin series - he now makes 2 to 3 series a year on top of 1 to 2 movies eversince Addicted.
I m just really sad to see this series go and i really wanna see all of them at least maybe in a special episode or something.
First of all, i just wanna say that Im really thankful to the people behind this show. Giving us 4 episodes a week in the past couple of weeks is a blessing. I really feel like they really wanted us to see the complete series (before it can be stopped or banned) and I really really appreciate it.
It saddens me to say that there will only be 1 more episde left. Im really hoping they can tie it all properly and not leave us with a hanging story and promise to continue with season2. We all know how that can go awry. I just really hope they can end it satisfactorily and bring the two main couple together, happily.
If theres more story to tell, i dont know how long the books are or where in the book we are exactly,, as long as the main cast is ready to come back , then I for sure will be back with them. I have a little doubt as to whether they will come back for more season(s) because god knows the two main leads became much bigger stars when the series began airing. They deserve the hype.

Exactly. I dont exactly know why there was a huge barrage of online hate. As someone who hasnt read the novel, i find the story and execution ample enough to be enjoyable. i actually had a great time and i can tell everybody in the theater with me did have a good time as well. Adaptations are tricky, but we cant expect everything in the novel to be in the movie. Everyone in the star studded cast did a great job i especially loved the kid with the insect antenna.
i hope they can continue with the story because i would love to see more of them.

im really really glad for both series. Whats good is that both are very different from each other. Who know we will see a day that we'd say the top BL of the year are both Chinese productions. I hope this is the start of the end of the bromance-washing of beloved Chinese BL contents and I really really hope we can all see the proper endings to both of them.
I dont know the point of htat injury and I sincerely dont know where the show is heading. Its not a full love story and its not a full sports story too. Only 3 episodes left so not unless they really designed it to have a season 2, it looks like everything will be rushed in the next episodes.

And oh, marking River as a Main Character is just so wrong, all his scenes so far could have been shot in a day.
First. Cinematography is excellent. Good production design too.
Second. Acting is top notch. I expect nothing less from the Dyosa Anne. Joushua is really good too.
Third. Considering they mentioned Matmat as 35 years old, that means Joshua and Anne are both playing characters in their early 30s since they are kababata. There is a little bit of mismatch. For now it is ok, but Im not sure it will translate later when they are all lovey-dovey. Joshua looks too young to be a 30something. The character fits Anne perfectly but not as 30 something. Seperately, it may be believable, but when you put them together side by side, ,its kinda distracting. If they wanted Anne for the role they should have casted the male lead someone near her age. Or if they really wanted Joshua, they should have paired him with a younger actress.
