Rewatch Edition: As said in my Kidnap review, Gmmtv has pretty much cemented itself as the master of misguiding…
Hi thanks for writing! Im glad you have the courage to sit through for the the second time all of the shenanigans in this series.
You might be right about Theo not meaning to keep the charade for so long, and that may be my biggest gripe with this series (aside from that awful awful Paris CGi at the end). Now that Force Book has starred in so many other series, no matter how pathetic this story was, Im glad that GMMTV was willing to spend on something to launch their careers.
Wow! We really are on the same wavelength. I was just thinking the very same thing. I watched ep 5 & 6 three times.…
i think the big issue here with this show is their style in storytelling. They have the tendency to make us bake in our agony. I remember when in the middle of To My Star2 when i was really frustrated with one of the leads too, especially when we feel hurt for the other character
I know this causes a lot of misunderstandings. But i like waiting for dramas every week .The waiting, the discussion…
Hi, yes, there are pros and cons to releasing weekly and binge drop but i really think this weekly release is negatively impacting LFTCT. The first 2 episodes left very good impression on the show and now its the total oppossite if you read a lot of the comments. The On1y One really worked as a weekly release since the episodes are pretty long and they dont leave us frustratedly hanging with each episode unlike this one. And yes i really "dread the shows that release 1 epsiode of barely 20 min each week .Those r the true nightmares" too. There is this one show being released weekly now which is barely 10min and single episode per week (Im not saying its the KBL "My Damn Business", wink wink) and its a pain waiting for development of their character.
Relax guys, theres still 2 more.episodes. i hope they use it to answer all our questions.
I think this type of story is better suited as a binge and not as a weekly drop, because the frustrations of most viewers seem to be coming from not knowing what the hell really happened in the last 12 years and we still have to wait another week to find the answers.
I laso think thats why Love in the Big City is a big hit with viewers because of the release strategy. I think if they released that series 2 episodes per week we will be in LITBC thread complaining about the middle parts too.
Wow i understand your frustration with my review but thanks for reading anyway. What i meant to say is the writer…
Yesssss, i love Kim Hye Roon too and yes shes very likeable, i really tried to finish Secret Inspector but somehow i cant, but for you i will try to revisit it one of these days.

No worries, different shows are ALWAYS subjective and hit and touches people differently depending on a lot of situation theyre in. I actually read some of your reviews too and i can say some of it we are in the polar opposites (like i cant even finish Royal Inspector no matter how much i love Taecyeon) and some we are in agreement (like in A TIme Called you which I really loved). But thats the beauty of it, i cant complain when people tell me they didnt like my review. I have the tendency to be more forgiving and lenient to shows because i know it takes a village in making them. This is also why i tend to avoid writing really really harsh reviews to the worst shows Ive seen because i know even if i find it bad, some people may still like them.
your idea that unfinished story arcs underdeveloped characters with arcs that go nowhere is proof of good writing…
Wow i understand your frustration with my review but thanks for reading anyway. What i meant to say is the writer has clearly made engaging characters that I cared enough to want to know what happened to them. A lot of other shows introduced/put characters, even main characters that i simply didnt care for. The fact that i was looking for some of the unfinished characters in this series meant that i loved them enough to wanna know what happened to them and are rich enough to warrant a longer story arc. I dont know what transpired behind this series that they decided to do only 12 episodes but i also understand that having that limitation meant some story has to go and edited out.
Amazing first 3 episodes, faster paced than the original but doesnt feel rushed at all. Very good main leads too. This is how you do a remake (im looking at you addicted heroin).
i think its time we tell Thai producers to stop remaking well-loved international series... It makes me sad cause this is just a poor copy of both the previous version.
