I don’t know how common it is in Korean society, but it’s relatively common where I come from. A mutual friend’s husband of thirty years had cheated on their wife and had another family, and she hesitated for a while before getting a divorce. Even then, she received backlash. I’ve had a few cases of this happen within my community, and it disgusts me more than what I can properly convey.

This was a hard show for me to watch, specifically because of the sensitive subject at hand. Realistically, I’d hardly condone this in real life mainly because of the problematic power dynamic at play here. In real life I wouldn’t get to experience and view the world through people’s lives like this, in the lens of a visual piece of media. However, when I have a clear view on how the characters think, what they’re thinking, and how they handle their life, I am inclined to want to root for them. Because I am able to see the world through their light, I can better view the dynamic of their relationship and how they treat each other— a closer look than I’d usually have. In this show it was handled realistically, and I could see how the love was portrayed between the two leads—it was unconditional.

Usually when I’m watching shows I don’t even bat an eye when there are passionate kissing scenes half the time because I’ve gotten desensitized to them, but the way Lu Chen looks at Gui Xiao already gives me butterflies and has me squealing

I know there’s a largely probable chance that this’ll end in heartbreak but I still love everything about this show despite that fact

Between the main leads, no. The main female lead has a niece who’s in a love triangle currently, but it doesn’t take up much screentime since they’re supporting characters

She looks beautiful to me, to be honest. It’s sad to see how actors/actresses are treated as something that go bad after some amount of time, that they’re less desirable in certain roles after said age. She’s skilled and is able to own her role as haeng seon, so I hope she gets recognized more for that rather than being judged on her age initially

I didn’t realize they’d admit that they like her already…especially the childhood friend (I’m lowkey living for it)

I love the leads but hae yi and sun jae are also so adorable (I’m not saying they’ll become a couple, but I like their friendship)

Her revenge isn’t changed by him, and she keeps going. She doesn’t have the desire for a man to save her, she wants someone to kill for her.

To me, I understand that she wanted to be with Taehee again. But trying to use the driver’s death in order to “eliminate” taehee’s problem so he can heal is disgusting. Her history with him doesn’t mean anything if he’s trying to avoid her. He doesn’t need his brother’s killer dead (also the legal implications that action holds), he needs to be able to communicate his trauma so he can properly grieve. Also I don’t know how she doesn’t see it but he looks so pained to be around her…that’s a great indication that he probably doesn’t want her around

Did a good amount of the members of Theia really leave because of the prophecy? Or because of yoomin’s death? I mean, I don’t know if it really matters, but know I’m curious how that will play out
