the second I heard that she was with the psychiatrist I immediately knew that he probably pursued her because that’s how this shit goes (that shit is actually unprofessional as fuck and an abuse of power, it pissed me off that ppl were like “oh she seduced him” no he should have never crossed that line with her because she is his patient and is in a very vulnerable position)

Also she’s literally supposed to be 18-19 at this point in the drama. On top of that she grew up sheltered by her mother I’m not surprised she’s somewhat naive. I like the fact that she’s girly while also knowing how to protect herself (since she knows taekwondo). I feel like a lot “strong women” in media are portrayed to demonize femininity and portray it as a weakness/something childish, instead making them be a vessel for patriarchal ideas of strength without any nuance

I understand how these tropes can be problematic in the grand scheme of things but also…the summary literally tells you what kind of show this is. Also I was neutral on esther at first (I think my first drama with her was her role as that side character in find yourself) but she’s not a bad actress or anything she’s quite good to me but maybe that’s because I’ve been in the trenches where I’ve seen actors serve nothing but a face card. However, I can’t lie I have been waiting for this for a year and I’m glad it’s living up to my expectations , as I really liked the forbidden flower so I’m praying this does well too and doesn’t screw up somewhere in the middle or end

I’m so aware it probably won’t happen but why did I love them so much, writer fumbled the bag with them both

I’m aware this is the least important part of the plot but I’m going to cry if he forgets that she kissed him because he passed out

The way I saw it on twitter before the episode came out—nah I felt my soul leave my body in real time

She ain’t even flawed to me—yeah she might be a mess when drunk but if I was supposed to be a cog in the corporate machine for decades of my adult life and live in a country where drinking is a large part of work culture I wouldn’t be surprised if unrecognized alcohol dependency is an issue for many if not myself. Also if anything she’s embarrassing herself when she’s drunk, she’s not harming anyone really (unlike her boss).

am I the only one that liked them more after today’s episode 😔

This is my personal experience but I kinda get where the female lead is coming from. Sometimes it’s easier to play the bad guy rather than come out with the truth, especially since if I was honest I’d be told to tolerate the crap my partner does since who else would bother to marry someone like me. There’s an emphasis on the idea that if my partner ever did something wrong it’s because I provoked them somehow (like if they cheated then I must’ve deprived them of a sex life or something). Granted I grew up in an asian community (not korean though) so my perception of things is far more forgiving because I can empathize with the toxic work culture, alcoholism, etc that comes with growing up in an asian household and community).

Maybe it’s just me but I feel equally as bad for ai as I do may because she was literally coerced into choosing her sister. If she had chosen may and oom did something drastic then the both of them would blame themselves for it.

Also I think that the traditional justice system would’ve failed them., which is why justitia’s punishment felt all the more fitting for them. The ex would’ve been let go after a year or so and would still harm the girl from the first episode, and the stepmom wouldn’t have been imprisoned as the child was her main witness and isn’t a reliable source. The man was proved to not be insane and it would’ve been easy to send him to jail for life without parole. Proper punishment for the killer would’ve been secured with the law on the side of the victims, and honestly I believe that true justice comes with the consideration of the victims

She takes several hundred cases a month if a few rulings are crap I don’t know how much of an issue people can take with it because she most likely rules relatively fairly in her other cases

Yeah but they can’t keep book her since there’s no evidence. Also even if daon tries to expose the truth she isn’t human and can cover up her tracks with her powers so no one would believe him anyway. I agree she’s cocky so I wonder what kind of punishment she’ll face if her mistakes are accounted for. I think she will probably take care of the killer that was mentioned last week and that’s what’ll force daon to protect her until her mission is done since I think the actual bitna will just die after the mission is completed

If I’m being honest, I get why she didn’t tell her parents the truth. A) if she was honest about the fact that her fiancé cheated, there’s a fair chance she may be blamed for not providing enough for her partner and B) if they knew that she faced hardships at her job and was subsequently fired, she’d be blamed for not trying hard enough to keep her job, etc. Though I agree she is chaotic and may garner criticism for seeming bratty and childish, she’s protecting herself because all she has left is her pride, and her “truth”. I remember being in similar situations where I faced similar backlash due to the environment I grew up in, so while I can’t speak for everyone I can relate from my own anecdotal experiences

I love how he gives in to her whenever she gets angry, and how he gets flustered whenever she smiles at him. Man is earning his phd in lewserism

I doubt it, solely just because Sol hasn’t really developed feelings for him yet. So if he does confess now I’d imagine she’d need time to actually process because she idolizes him currently
