In my experience, people with genius level intellect, or just very smart people are not riddled with insecurities, for some explicable reason, a majority of them develop god complex's.

From the patronizing tone, to the looks, being praised on their intelligence, outdoing colleagues/peers, and parental misguidance make these people feel they are superior to the regular folks.

I think more than SDM, Cheul San and Yong San has done a lot more for NDS psyche thatn SDM does. What she does offer to him though, is someone who isn't screaming at him and shouting at him, and questioning how great he is.

From his parents, whatever he does is never good enough, you can see, every achievement the dad's response is, "what have you done lately that is great?". This type of asian parenting is counter productive to NDS weak mental. Then you have HJP, who pretty much tells NDS he doesn't have what it takes to be CEO, and his life's works is aimless.

Now enter SDM, who is all cheers, all support, and someone saying good things about him, aside from his friends, and i'm not surprised by his reaction.

The way NDS is acting, is consistent with someone who has not experienced much praise in his life.

But the minute the praises go away, can his mental handle it?

And let the ship wars begin!

Pretending to be somebody else to gain benefit, is identity fraud.

It's Kdrama, they simplify most of the technical stuff to focus on the drama side.

No, it's too late to introduce someone with roughly 7 episodes left, there will be no impact. Plus the only girls left are Saha and WIJ, which he doesn't have a relationship with either.

No, there is no world I can imagine HJP, NDS, SDM having a family get together laughing, all the negative emotions are there, that whoever SDM chooses will be hurt, it's not like HJP and NDS were best friends to begin with, and thus their friendship would survive.

Highly unrealistic they will still act like a family, HJP may be cordial, but that's about it.

Yeah, but that is after the fact that HJP wanted to tell the truth, but NDS did not want.

HJP even asked, why didn't you tell the truth? He had the opportunity to tell SDM after he told her about Grandma's secret, but didn't either. And what does Grandma's blindness secret, and the the truth about the lie have to do with each other?

Also, why listen to HJP now, after not listening to him the last few times?

He still could have revealed the truth then and there, what was stopping him? It wasn't HJP that's for sure, he made his own decision to continue lying. Grandma didn't tell him not to reveal the truth about the lies, just about her eyes.

Yeah, highly unlikely HJP ends up with the girl.

But i'll be glad if he at least ends up taking care of Grandma and they at least have a happy ending.

Just pointing out, if anything in how the business aspect of Samsan Tech were to occur in real life, it would have failed already.

SDM becoming a competent CEO based on her hustle is so unrealistic.

SDM seems to respect HJP views, something DM's mother never had for her father. So that's a big difference.

And SDM has shown she will also stand up to HJP

NDS has not shown that he is able to stand up to SDM at all. Which is worrying in a real relationship.

In real life also, I would trust HJP more than NDS. NDS seems to be scheming half those times, he has his head down and looks out to the distance. With HJP, he screams, he shouts, but you know clearly what he wants.

In the preview, we see HJP's frustration, he has wanted since the early episodes to tell his feelings to SDM, but he keeps stopping himself. Maybe because he feels he is not worthy, or w/e reason.

Wait, NDS tried to tell the truth but was stopped by Grandma and HJP? When did this happen?

I remember the opposite happening, HJP wanting the truth out, but NDS saying, let's lie a bit longer.

Regardless, the writer had a good start to the show, but midway, she's dropping the ball hard, focusing too much on the romance and less on what made the show interesting in the first place. Also, KSH being such a great actor, broke out of his SL mold, and is in serious contention, but as you said, he stands no chance due to writer bias.

I'm going to be crying buckets when I see Grandma and HJP cry next episode.

But bone dry when I see NDS cry.

Eh, it doesn't matter. He didn't tell her the truth out of his own volition, he tells her the truth, because she finds out herself from the handwriting of HJP.

I think most HJP fans are already preparing for the worst. I mean 9/10 promotional material shows NDS and SDM only.

Just putting it out there, seeing NDS cry, I will not shed a tear. Seeing HJP cry... where is my crying bucket?

Compare Richard Hendricks of Pied Piper and Nam Do San of Samtech.

Just night and day. Hendricks always stays true to himself.

HJP isn't even trying, he's even pushing her away at times, yet they still have undeniable chemistry.

NDS character would have been fine, if HJP character was being run by an actor with less stage presence.

Regarding your two reasons.

1st - Almost half of Kdrama main couple leads, if not more, is because the guy is a mentor and someone who looks out for the FL, FYI.

2nd - Those differences you mention in HJP is precisely why he is a good fit. Every dreamer needs an anchor that will help them realizes there is a life underneath the clouds.

Which is also why SDM is good for HJP, as she will help him realize that numbers aren't everything, sometimes you have to believe. Something HJP is starting to realize, especially during his conversation with the CEO of Sandbox. Some would argue, a marriage without arguments is one doomed to fail.

If she were to start anew with NDS or HJP, it wouldn't work. If she started with NDS, I believe she should quit the company, because it's a huge conflict of interest and a distraction.

If she is with HJP, she still has to quit the company, as NDS would be too heartbroken to continue having SDM there.

So best case, she doesn't end up with either tbh, or starts her own company.

Yeah it's weird, we are led to believe in the beginning episodes that NDS lacks any communication skills because he has strong convictions and very logical. But in the last 4 episodes it looks to be the opposite.

Plus something like this would be a job for the CEO, SDM more than NDS.

your right, DS wanted SDM to fall for the real him, that was his plan from the beginning, he wanted to overtake the spot in SDM heart that is filled with fake dosan. I think that is clear.

I don't see how HJP benefits at all from the lie. In fact, if he really loves SDM, HJP benefits more from the truth. Think about that.

Yes, but we are shown the fragile nature of NDS psyche. A stronger willed person, would strive for the best, and then we can deal with the issues being a child prodigy, being smarter than everyone else.

But instead, he took the cowards way out, he purposely failed to be with kids his own age. So now, there is no pressure, so any interesting backstory that could have been is gone. He's just another smart kid who didn't live up to his potential because he did not want to deal with the pressure.

Plus I get the inkling his parents don't understand the kind of person NDS is, so their POV of him is unreliable.

So his story becomes a pretty boring, smart kid who is not confident, finds love and gives him confidence to be successful... Pretty cliche.

I have issue with NDS lie because it's impersonation. And the dangerous part of it, if NDS was a bit more evil, he could keep up the lie forever, in fact he even says he wanted to keep lying to its maximum life...

The lie concocted by Grandma and HJP, was meant for a young girl that has no qualms about meeting Dosan, but the adult SDM wanted to meet Dosan, where the lie would have fallen apart.

Big difference here.

I already have some distaste for the drama for even having a love triangle in the first place. Plus they barely show WIJ, who I think is a really interesting character in her own right. Why call WIJ main lead if she barely has screen time.

I hope not, i'm shipping him and Saha. Plus I think it's a red herring.
