I’m the only one that doesn’t understand how are they supposed to “fall for each other” when there’s…
Soo Ho did not kill Young U directly, but one can quite easily correlate that because of Soo Ho's mission to being Prof Han to NK in the first place that the incident had to happen.
But you could also argue, Young U being in the army, he would have been killed eventually, so that would be Eun Cho's fault.
It all depends who you want to blame. It's easier to blame Soo Ho here, because it takes less mental gymnastic to blame him.
Yes at that time both NK and SK were poorWar between them had made economically weak countries It’s after that…
You do know the Seoul Olympics which they held the year after cost approximately $700 Million USD. And election campaigns cost much much more money than $250k USD.
Regardless of how poor NK and SK was at that time, the GDP of South Korea was 150 BILLION USD. The average income of an average person in South Korea at that time was $5,000 USD. So based on the conversation of the political parties, you are telling me 60 times the average income of a South Korean worker equates into the financial budget a government needed to function? Also keep in mind the income disparity at this time was HUGE. So although the average SK worker was making $5,000 USD, A government official, like the director of the ANSP would already be making at the very least 20-30 times a regular worker, if not more due to corruption.
Just seems like a small change in the script would have been a nice little Easter egg showing the amount of research the writer did.
But I guess 250k USD makes it easier to keep all that money in that bag that they carry around. Just seems like writing lapses.
Might be a small thing to some people, but to me, shows shortcuts the writer took to finish her story.
Since the Soo Ho she knew from the first few episode was a lie, the Soo Ho she meets after is an entirely different…
As I said deaths directly and indirectly caused by Romeo. Like for example Mercutio's death is caused indirectly by Romeo. Just like Young U's death could be similar to Mercutio's death in some weird paralllism.
If at prison you pretended to be one of the inmates, and were friends with the inmate, but were a prison guard when you got home, then yes, that would be the same.
But a prison guard, who is still a prison guard, but nicer at home, is not the same as what is happening in Snowdrop.
Ok I just want to clear up that if they end up together it won't be Stockholm Syndrome since they already love…
Since the Soo Ho she knew from the first few episode was a lie, the Soo Ho she meets after is an entirely different person. Which means Stockholm Syndrome holds true. Just because the new Soo Ho, has remnants of the old Soo Ho, doesn't invalidate that.
Snowdrop is suppose to be Korean Romeo and Juliet. And in Romeo and Juliet, Romeo kills so many people directly and indirectly, and Juliet still loves him like crazy.
So a gun to her head, is like nothing in comparison.
They have comfortable floors to sleep on.
Round the clock manual surveillance system.
Bright red radio with the newest music.
All you can eat rice balls.
And front row seats to the most epic love story of the 1987's

Curious did you get my reference, and which scene I was pointing out? I purposely made my comment vague, and wanted to see who would get it.

Doesn't seem like a lot of money for people to freak out over?
And this money is suppose to bankrupt the Aemin party? How poor was Korea in the 1980's? Or was the conversion of Won and USD 1 = 1 at the time?
I am genuinely curious. I just realized it's not Billion Won, but rather Million Won. Unless translation is wonky...

I believe the intent was to show the extremes you can go and still have a romance.
My work is done.
It's that dead space between NK and SK which is neutral.
Its just not well received and so I don't anymore.
The bad writing has nothing to do with the lack of excitement.
I will review it when it's all done, and you can see where I am coming from.
