Wow, thanks for sharing my posts! Was intrigued when I found that some of the traffic was coming from here 😂
"Hot take: REN IS AN ASSHOLE. I’ve never liked the Hanazawa Rui character, because he can do as little as possible in the way of kindness and Tsukushi will still swoon over him. His earliest interest in her is simply curiosity. He can gauge that she has feelings for him, but despite the fact he is deeply insincere about her, will still tease her in a flirtatious kind of way. Even before Shizuka breaks his heart, he’s a waste of space."
Thanks Chingu for your existence. You have earned a fan, in me! <3

Uhh, I have this weird feeling all the RPF shipping started as a joke (since we are so starved of the 'romance' during the episodes)... and suddenly, it snowballed into a THING. xD Overnight, there are RECEIPTS!
This is hilarious! xD I'm ded.

Um, what is going on in the comment section? All I'm seeing is a bunch of people saying haeso this, haeso that…
Ever since CLOY shippers got lucky, suddenly every fan thinks their ship has a chance to sail. Lmao! xD
And just HOW many active shipping-threads will this man have? Hae-In still has delulu shippers with SYJ, even after dispatch exposed she and HB were an item! xD

What m saying is let us enjoy this promotion and be happy 😁 shipping is part of K-drama culture so let us chill…
funniest part is the cp-promotion is not even that aggressive. well, jisoo is an idol, and you don't want anti-fans, anti-cp fans, and solo-fans to storm jtbc! xD

What is happening with Haesoo reminds me of Master's Sun. When you watched that Kdrama, you didn't feel there…
Fanfics. There were SO many of them. People still believe she didn't get married because she's not over him. :P

Yeah.... I WISH they wouldn't skip that. T_T The 'date' is an extra addition, and cute as well. Though, I know…
YASSSSS!!!! I'm screaming out soo loud! <3 <3
This is perfect! So glad we're not skipping this scene!
From the bottom-left corner of the picture, it looks like an 'emergency/ fire-escape stairwell'! Hoorayy! I think they will get stuck *after* their date? Gorya has the same brown shirt, and Thyme has the same animal-print overcoat! :')

I think I read it from one of the Thai magazines last year that Bright played a role in casting Tu. The casting…
Bright honestly seems to have major 'future-director' potential. And his 'amateur photography' skills (which seem semi-pro at this point already)... tells me he'll be EPIC behind a camera! <3

I’m curious, what does everyone think of the acting? Let’s just talk about that of f4.
The acting? Is the weakest link about this Thai adaptation (fight me!) :P However, I'm more forgiving because none of the other versions had stellar acting either. Esp considering you have to cast actors who visually fit the age range of 17-21. Also, because the original story spans over multiple volumes. The layers of characters that you unearth across chapters, has to be condensed down to a few minutes in each episode, which calls for a LOT of micro-acting, which you cannot expect from rookies & newbies. That said, I recognize the chemistry every pair/ group of actors exude, and that makes up for a lot of earlier misgivings! :)

>>Tu<<
A high average of highs-and-lows, but mostly highs. There are a few scenes she shows her green-ness but they are much lesser than what you'd expect from a debut-project! :) She's also super-easy on the eyes, so I forgive her for her melo-dramatic scenes that do not land on me the way it was intended. I also heavily appreciate the non-manga-esque acting tbh!

>>Bright<<
A balanced average of highs-and-lows, with sprinkling of TOP-TIER acting. He shines in the more comedic/ childish/ besotted-lover scenes. Sometimes, he overdoes the squinty-crazy eyes. [The airport scene imo was his weakest.] However, he has really powerful eyes that have the potential of conveying a myriad of expressions in a flitting second. He acts the HECK out of the ending sequence of ep 1! Oof! Needs more working on micro-tuning his facial muscle-acting.

>>Ren<<
His character is actually super-complex, so I don't blame the poor kid. Instead of convincing me Ren has an 'ON' and 'OFF' mode, and he INTENTIONALLY operates on the latter, with glimpses of the former surfacing when he loses it... his delivery mostly just appears very cardboard. He's a model first, so he's camera-conscious when acting. Needs working on his line-delivery. I'm waiting for a stand-out scene from him.

>>Win<<
The most even delivery. Contrary to most people, I really enjoy Win in this role. He has that silent restraint to his character. Even his smiles are so hollow & empty, which never reach his eyes. (those who know Win from interviews, know he's SO different). I wish he could also turn up the smolder a notch, to be more convincing as the smooth-operating ladies man. The pool-scene with his pathos-laden voiceover, was amazing.

>>Nani<<
Again, very camera conscious. Which is a shame since he has the screen-presence to be a scene-stealer in every single frame. He still needs coordination between his facial acting and line-delivery... almost as if they aren't synced atm. He positively looks uncomfortable in his biking, playboy-persona.

Fah, June, Cindy and Maria are doing their job. Prim has me by the heart. Looking forward to more Cindy scenes, especially with Tu.

Something I love about F4 Thailand is it's brought out my people, the ones who are addicted to the HYD franchise…
"I feel like the writers must also be fans because they so clearly understand the appeal of the original story and what they needed to change to make it relevant today."

Uhh, excuse me, but the lyricist/ songwriter is the BIGGEST fan of them all! xD More than Patha, if that's possible... because he, despite being a dude, GETS hyd, and is a massive fan too! :P

There's also a sadder Freudian angle to this. Yeah, apparently, we fall for people who remind us of our parents…

Lol, BoF scarred me so bad, (it was my 4th I spose?).... it turned me of k-dramas completely! xD
Oh heyyy! You remember me! xD But then again, how many chibis are there, traumatized by BoF and having quit drama-land as a result? :P

Oh wow, pretty similar trajectory as me. I came back after 7 years of not watching anything. Then CLOY aired, and I thought okay, we have made some progress. Watched Secretary Kim, and that SEALED the deal for me! ^^

I just re-watched ep1-3 of Hana Yori Dango and just have to get this off my chest...They are pretty blatant that…
There's also a sadder Freudian angle to this. Yeah, apparently, we fall for people who remind us of our parents from the opposite gender. In Tsukasa's case, it has to be his Mum right? No, his mum is pretty much a non-maternal figure to him. Somebody who terrorizes, insults, humiliates and emasculates him verbally/ emotionally/ psychologically, whenever possible. His sister and him have quite a bit of age difference. She was the only initial mother-figure in his life, hence SHE is the one he looks for, and not his mother. T_T

Also, f4 has always had a femme-touch as a de-facto, from very early on. At first, it was Tsukasa's sister. Once she got married and left, her mantle was taken up by Shizuka. She too graduated and left. And there was a huge void to be filled. Not only does Tsukasa gravitate to Makino as a result, but the rest of the f4 does too, & unofficially adopts her as the fifth 'female member' of the group! :')
