No, the romantic relationship is contextually implied. This is a censored BL.
It's an amazing show anyway. lol

I came to peep the fall out in this low-mood comment section after the latest announcement and the vibe is pretty much the same as it was before the announcement. I can't tell if that's good or bad 😂 Anyways. The show will go on!!!! ... eventually 😄

By mistake GagaOOlala uploaded this scene, which was cut from the version that we all saw. Of course some fans…
Lol. I think for cutting out certain scenes of adaptations in all shows, producers usually consider one thing, and that is whether it's necessary to make the scene visual or if that's too much and it can possibly be implied with context or audio. Anyone who watches adaptations of any movies or shows after seeing the original will know that some things you know happened in the original is only referenced or sometimes visually made note of in the adaptation. With Chinese producers, I think they have an unfortunate second consideration, which is; "Is the scene going to be too much for the actors reputations in China Mainland in the future."

If we're looking at the first consideration, this scene could have easily been left in or left out, it didn't make much difference, most of the viewers got it and others figured it out eventually. For the second consideration, well, it is what it is and they'll do what they do. The scene was fine without it, so their choice affected nothing imo. But seeing this is funny 😂

This is actually so goood!!
90% of BL watchers have this epiphany when watching a Chinese BL (censored or otherwise). Nobody does it like they do (when they do actually manage to do it at least lol)
On The Bangkok Boy Jul 13, 2025
Nah, it was good. It had its flaws but the consistency for tone/story/acting was on point and they ended it unexpectedly and set up easily for a second season. 8.5/10 for consistency and over all execution of the plot. They did start to cake on the make up a little thick toward the end, considering how naturally done everything seemed in the beginning. Hope they go easy on that if they make a S02. If they do, I'll be watching ✌️

Chengyu is really FINE... if it was anyone else but XuNing as Chi, 90% of the fans would have ended up with Second…
The casting is on point for sure, no doubt there. The best face card for me though comes from Zhan Xuan, I feel like if he were wearing a neon yellow jumpsuit his face card would still hit lol

In terms of the show's fashion angle, yikes, I don't really think Chengyu's fashion sense is very good, most of the clothes the wardrobe department of the show chose for the character makes me frown. Chi Cheng's clothes are better, but some are misses too. I get they were going for rich-boy flare or summat but I've never been a fan of excessively baggy/flowly clothes and giant shoes, so 90% of Asian fashion is an eyesore to me LOL

Chi Cheng's best outfit so far is the waistcoat/no shirt with the suit jacket and pants combo and the monk strap shoes, all black. As for Chengyu, there are no winners yet, or maybe, his third outfit. The one he wears when he shows up and XS ignores him. Mid.

Lol, true. But for me, as much as I like Chi Cheng, I'ma be real, actor-looks wise, I'm way more invested in staring with focus at the screen when Chengyu is in the scene lol

i was looking for this comment!!! but guo Chengyu stole my heart ❤️
From the FIRST episode I immediately looked up the actor like WHOTF ARE YOU, and as Chengyu I'm thinking Xiaoshuai lucked out big time!

After the short vid I made about CC and WSW, I am making a short FMV vid of Chengyu and Xiaoshuai _(:3」∠)_ I'm not used to making short vids so they look weird to me, but I am so impatient I can't wait for all the footage to make long vids. Monday is soooooooo close.

is it only me who doesn't fully understand the plot about the snakes? i knew that cheng's dad kept them in order…
Chi Cheng's dad confiscates his snakes to force him to comply with bullshit family expectations -> Chi Cheng complies -> Chi Cheng starts spending his time at the company secretly trying to find out where his snakes are hidden by his father -> Chi Cheng finds out about where the snakes are kept at the same time as he finds out his father is making money off breeding his snakes -> He starts backroom dealing to replace wild snakes identical to his captivity bred snakes without his father finding out which will also ultimately cause problems when the snakes start fighting -> The snakes (wild/captive) fight and many die -> Chi Cheng's dad gets worried and plans to move the snakes -> Chi Cheng's been waiting for this and his people let him know they're moving the snakes -> Chi Cheng shows up, along with Cheng Yu (who's been monitoring the snakes as well, and SW who's also been doing the same) and ...basically episode 9 and 10 happens and now the snakes are back with Chi Cheng ( what's left of the poor babies anyway D: )

Hope this helps.

Ok, so this is 7th bl series I have watched or watching ?! I am slowly losing my interest in Korean series, (…
In a way they're not wrong though, regarding the origin of this story, the novel reads like badly written fanfiction, the type of fanfiction which very often does paint heteronormative themes over gay relationships, and is written by females (who know very little about the topic of gay relationships/sex). It's pretty painful to read (people who read fanfiction may know what I'm talking about). But at least the adaptation has improved certain points, like over all coherence (imo) lol and the author has admitted her earlier writing wasn't really on the level.

But honestly, no one should be watching BL and thinking it's like watching LGBTQ, they're just not the same, and are not intended to be the same. So some people from the LGBTQ community will enjoy it purely for the entertainment, not looking for anything deep or serious, and others will judge it because it's not an accurate representation of gay people, and that's exactly why it's great that there is so much out there to choose from, because different people are entertained by different things and we can all watch what we like and avoid what we don't.

Guys, I have a question: Aren't the characters' voices in the series the actors' own voices?
Reasons for voice dubbing in China:
- Different accents for different actors from different parts of China, especially when all characters in the show are meant to be from a specific region or the same place.
- Noise on set; Chinese dramas don't always film in controlled sets where the external noise level is controlled, so they film with all the natural noise and then just dub over the actors so the natural noise doesn't drown the actors out like in the real time playback.
- Actors' voices don't always 'suit' the character the way they are imagined by the producers, and sometimes, the actors have no experience with voice dubbing, or sometimes they just choose not to.

These are the main reasons, but in some ways I also think it's just become China's 'thing'. We, the viewers, don't find it necessary, but they obviously prefer the finished product that way.

In the YT subs he also says 'if you go any further, I'll kill you' and 'get out (he's not talking about CC leaving the room), don't come near me' so I think it's very low key, non explicitly implied CC tried for third base but WSW wasn't having it yet lol
