I'm GLAD we didn't have to hear him sing. I always skip singing in BLs, very annoying. I just feel bad for him filming the dancing scene with different music than they played back in the editing process, RIP Ziyu's rhythm. 😂

Gotta remember though, that wasn't bts, that was leaked footage, we were not supposed to be comparing the ep 10 scene with the footage we actually saw. if there'd been no leak, there'd be questioning the scenes extent.
I guess we'll see what bts footage we actually get from ep 10 this week.

I haven't seen arguments about it, just many people claiming it's cut just because it wasn't full body/more graphic. Did you consider that originally they wanted to make them say something and then decided it didn't work for the scene, or that audio was recorded during the scene and always intended to be used in the scene we see from outside the office for comedic effect, like they've panned out or cut away in previous scenes?

If by some chance it was cut, I'd be very surprised because to me the scene didn't feel cut, especially since we're only on episode 10 and they're still building up to Chi Cheng and Suo Wei's first time. It also makes no sense to cut away when there's a scene where Chi Cheng's hand went down the back of Suo Wei's pants lol

Doesn't matter if someone doesn't like it, that's all good, this shit is all subjective to taste anyway. It's about saying it's censored and cut when there's no proof of that. So they didn't edit it like some people hoped, i.e not graphic enough, but that doesn't mean the scene was cut. Can't even count how many BLs out of Thailand, SK and Taiwan do the same kind of scene where everything is above the shoulders. It's not a revelation 😂

Eh, I guess Chinese BLs being censored before is going to have this annoying cloud of censor despair for a long time.

Many comments be like: oh noes the NC scene was cut/censored, oh noes, it was ruined, we didn't get to see what the footage (that some douchebag leaked and everyone happily glomped on to at the time despite leaking footage always being a dick move) it was supposed to be spicier or more graphic or...what?.......yeah, no, though.

For real, have you guys watched bts, any bts of shows? Or even specifically the bts of THIS show. They do multiple takes, they make multiple changes and scenes don't always and are not always meant to look like how the full scale filmed bts scene appears or happens. That's what the editing process is for, to add changes/music/effects to a scene so it looks like how they envision it to look, to bring the scene into the moment. I mean. Yo.

I'm SO mad at Suowei rn man, and not because he's not ready to sleep with Chi Cheng yet, that kind of sexual awakening will happen at different speeds for everyone who's facing it, and him struggling with it makes sense psychologically. This is not the first story I've been engrossed in that tackles dealing with the struggle of accepting homosexuality or bisexuality. I'm actually glad Suo Wei's not leaping into bed with Chi Cheng because that would not be believable.
My reason for being pissed at him is because his clueless ass somehow doesn't realize that Xiaoshuai actually genuinely likes Chengyu!!!!!!!! Xiaoshuai has made token protests against Chengyu up to now, but did Suo Wei really not see past it? The snapping of the rose stem? The bitter tone of voice???? Xiaoshuai's reaction to his 'solution', hearing Chengyu will back off. Suo Wei apparently couldn't read a room if the walls had fucking writing on them.

The moment he rushed out and went to talk to Chengyu I was like 'nooooo you asshat, THAT'S not the solution.' At this point, imo, Suo Wei's best option is to communicate with Chi Cheng, to tell him they need to takes things slower, that he needs time to get there, not to keep up his stupid scheming, with how accommodating and gone on him he is, Chi Cheng is not going to say anything even remotely resembling a no. THE MAN WILL WAIT. Chi Cheng is likely only rushing ahead so harshly (and likely with half baked threats) is because of Souwei saying things like 'let's break up' and searching for ways to be straight again and he's WORRIED 🙄 Yeesh. Suowei can be quite smart but also pretty thickheaded.

WOW. I enjoyed this episode. Motherfucker. The wait for next week though, the wait is going to suuuuuck.

GUYS: all this back and forth about not sharing the NC scenes from ep 10 online, like, just don't. Don't share it, don't like it so it doesn't trend. The actors LIVE in China, they can still be given a hard time about this stuff because of the no-homo government, so just don't share nothing.

It's been newly adapted and re-envisioned, the author herself admitted a lot of things in the original novel where things she doesn't agree with now, so she's very proud of this updated version it seems. It's not censored because it's filmed in Mainland China with Chinese actors but only broadcast outside of China, so censorship can't touch it. Nothing to do with Taiwan. It's a very good show so far, it's a little dramatic and farfetched in places, a little dark in places too, but over all, it's a very entertaining watch with the kind of character and relationship development that only China has ever really been able to produce in BL content (including their censored works). I'd recc it, if you don't like it, you can always dip.
