In a way they're not wrong though, regarding the origin of this story, the novel reads like badly written fanfiction, the type of fanfiction which very often does paint heteronormative themes over gay relationships, and is written by females (who know very little about the topic of gay relationships/sex). It's pretty painful to read (people who read fanfiction may know what I'm talking about). But at least the adaptation has improved certain points, like over all coherence (imo) lol and the author has admitted her earlier writing wasn't really on the level.
But honestly, no one should be watching BL and thinking it's like watching LGBTQ, they're just not the same, and are not intended to be the same. So some people from the LGBTQ community will enjoy it purely for the entertainment, not looking for anything deep or serious, and others will judge it because it's not an accurate representation of gay people, and that's exactly why it's great that there is so much out there to choose from, because different people are entertained by different things and we can all watch what we like and avoid what we don't.
Today my weekly waiting will double down on the struggling front, every week I'm gonna have to wait for Revenged Love AND Dexter Resurrection 😭 but do you think I can wait for either of these shows to complete airing first? NOOOOOOooooOOOOOO, because apparently I like to suffer 😭

Reasons for voice dubbing in China: - Different accents for different actors from different parts of China, especially when all characters in the show are meant to be from a specific region or the same place. - Noise on set; Chinese dramas don't always film in controlled sets where the external noise level is controlled, so they film with all the natural noise and then just dub over the actors so the natural noise doesn't drown the actors out like in the real time playback. - Actors' voices don't always 'suit' the character the way they are imagined by the producers, and sometimes, the actors have no experience with voice dubbing, or sometimes they just choose not to.
These are the main reasons, but in some ways I also think it's just become China's 'thing'. We, the viewers, don't find it necessary, but they obviously prefer the finished product that way.

I'll be real, there aren't many spoilers here, most of the comments are people lamenting the wait until Monday, complaining/defending the character of Chi Cheng, spreading false rumors about the show being taken off air, discussing the actors (more rumors) OR asking how China is producing BLs again. I guess I'm the only person who feels like episode 6 was a step down from the previous episodes? They've been fairly consistent until now, with a some highs and lows and the previous episode ended on a good note, albeit a little dragged out and overdone (for general fan pleasing probably) but this episode just fell off for me. Ah well, we'll see what happens next ep, maybe it'll pick up again.

It was, uh, nice(?) of Thailand to try and do some Chinese works, you know, before the producers started finding loopholes to make their stuff again. But all CBL fans will agree that it's best if Thailand stays away from Chinese content, their way of doing BL is simply not the same. It just doesn't work.
