Is it true there is another uncut NC scene?
I think this is not true, from what I understand from the progression of this rumor so far, is that people have realized the YT version is somewhat more extended than the Gaga and Viki version.

someone said they reuploaded ep 10 with uncut nc on viu, is this true?
IF this is true, I wonder if they waited to see how episode 10 went over on social media (backlash wise) before releasing it fully.

Rape is usually about power- there are enough examples in Hollywood if you can stomach to look. So no, it isn’t…
Hm, I never said it wasn't a threat?

And yes, people are different. I know different people and some of them have faced bad situations and they reacted differently. I personally would not be idle if threatened by anyone, I cannot even imagine doing so, but I know some people would not handle it well. That's why I didn't say 'everyone would stand up for themselves'.

Is this show actually filmed in China? I'm so fascinated by how a show is produced in the same country that bans…
They keep the filming under the radar, the government is not watching every single thing being filmed in real time, that's what the censorship board is for, to check stuff before it gets put on air only. Except, they don't send it for broadcast licensing in China because it's not going to air in China, so China's censorship board never sees it. The producers sell the completely filmed and edited product to international distributors/streaming sites for international viewers to see and that's it. Censorship can't touch it.

About the actors, that is the unfortunate part, there was/is a risk of them getting some unpleasant backlash and feedback in their own country, however, we cannot ignore the fact that the production crew, the author and the actors would all have known the risks when they took on this project. Because it's not like there hasn't been a precedent set for the government's gross oppression of LGBTQ and the Unhinged® fans disgusting harassing behaviour over actors (especially BL), so they knew what they were getting into.

They also likely were at least mostly prepared to deal with any fallout (and it seems they have been dealing with it fairly well if the actors increased popularity and the fact that the popular apps and sites in China are no longer blocking the trending topic of show online -the last time I saw an update at least-). The actors are also growing in popularity hella fast, and so far there hasn't been any issues.

We as inter-fans just have to support them in any we can, they're staying strong though and the author said no matter what, this show is airing to the end, so if they're all determined, we should be enthusiastic and determined to stick them with too.

I went back to watch the leaked footage, and yes, it looks pretty spicy and sexy. Of course, this being an uncensored,…
lol yeah same topic but in different directions.
Some people will always be dissatisfied and that's understandable, I've also been disappointed with scenes before.
That's why I usually avoid leaks as much as possible 😭

EEEH I'm not arguing lol no arguments here, no worries!

People are saying the cut a graphic scene for censorship, I thought you were talking about that since that's what my original message was about, people complaining about supposed censorship cuts XD but if you're talking about directorial cuts that's different.

When I refer to cuts, I'm saying that in the editing process, they may cut/change certain content if they feel it doesn't work in a scene, cut dialogue, cut actions, change dialogue, change actions, that's what I mean. They're not the same thing and that's not censorship.

It's like how sometimes the actors may stand too close together in a shot and they director will say 'no don't stand so close, it doesn't look right, let's try another angle' and then the one we get to see, they're not that close even though they were in the bts. It's directional changes and after production changes.

Rape is usually about power- there are enough examples in Hollywood if you can stomach to look. So no, it isn’t…
" Him grabbing WZW is absolutely about calling the stakes in their relationship." ~~ but WSW has been setting all the boundaries, Chi Cheng presses but doesn't cross the actual line.
"Probably something something growing up with a domineering father." ~~ conjecture for now, nothing like this has been shown in the series.

"And the thing is: would the doc believe he was in danger of getting raped? Obviously he was intimidated. Everyone would have been in his place." ~~ not really, in most cases, most people would not calmly allow someone to threaten to sexually assault them, they would stand up for themselves or threaten to go to the police. I think in the case of the show, XS is more worried about keeping WSW's secrets because he's worried about WSW being hurt (as in CC killing him or something for betrayal), that's why he didn't just tell Chi Cheng to fuck off. Additionally, recall, he had no trouble putting Chengyu in his place, but before he ever met Chi Cheng, he was doing all his research and probably came across all those scary rumors which subconsciously made him feel intimidated, so when he finally encountered CC, he was already wary of him.

It's like, if you encountered someone in public and you had a bit if an altercation with them, maybe they stepped in front of you in a queue or walked into you, most people will plainly tell that person to mind themselves or even tell them off. BUT if they heard rumors about that person having killed someone or being violent or something, their reaction will be different. Human disposition in different circumstances.

What about that guy in episode 1 that GC gave to CC as "spoils of war" after he lost the snake fight? It did not…
Lol not uncommon for 'bad boys' to let people say terrible things about them to make them seem scarier. It's all a part of the 'swag'.

" I had fanwanked it with them kinda looking out for guys into the sharing thing. Or who wanted to spend the night with CC in a roundabout way" ~~ actually also possible in those circles, which was my point initially, these sorts of people get around, they don't have too many hang ups. In a different scenario (when Wang Shuo was never involved and messed up the friendship) I could easily see Chi Cheng and Cheng Yu in a threesome with a VERY consenting bottom.
Replying to Claddagh Jul 9, 2025
I also thought about the guy that was given to him but Gao after a snake fight. He didn't seem consentent at all.…
"So maybe he wouldn't r.. someone who shout No but he would definitely force someone who can't defend himself." ~~ these are the same thing, non consent, there is no difference besides one being verbal and one...not?

My point was, Chi Cheng has likely never had a sexual partner who wasn't willing, or who told him they were unwilling (consent under some kind of duress is still non consent so maybe Chengyu's side piece could possibly be considered under that category), but afterwards, from what we saw and according to Chengyu, no one who'd been with Chi Cheng was unhappy, no one went to the police, and physically-sexually it would seem he didn't harm anyone, or violently force himself onto anyone. Maybe some were hesitant/uncertain but caved. Maybe some were scared and caved. Variables, variations of non-consent as a possibility but nothing clearly defined in the context of the show. But in his circles, does it make sense he'd have trouble with people not wanting to sleep with him willingly? I'm just looking at the context of Chi Cheng's life and lifestyle as we've seen it.

And I'm not talking about the kind of person CC was in the novel, since the author confirmed the adaptation is a re-invisioned version. I'm referring to the show only.

Who would Chi Cheng want power over in the specific case of this show? Chengyu? It's definitely not about the people he sleeps with, because his grudge is with Chengyu. Even then, he taunted Chengyu to give him the 'spoils of war' and when Chengyu hesitated he laughed and was ready to brush it off. He's not even a cruel to his minions. He's shown to be disturbingly cruel to his betrayers but over all doesn't show the typical signs of someone who's obsessed with having power over people, even 'power' the sickest variation (since that's what you're mentioning here). So I'm not sure that idea fits.

What about that guy in episode 1 that GC gave to CC as "spoils of war" after he lost the snake fight? It did not…
I dunno about frightened, he definitely looked confused, maybe he thought he 'belonged' exclusively to Chengyu. That's why I mention the circles they run in, it gives that vibe of rich guys running the show and everyone else who attends is there for sex or money or drugs or all three. We see this dynamic shown in plenty of het western movies/series, where the guy/s in charge will tell a girl or three to go over and 'keep someone company'. The reasons those girls are there are often not straitlaced, they didn't end up there because they're leading healthy/good lifestyles. Considering Chengyu's side piece didn't protest when Chengyu handed him over, I'm guessing he's also not a straitlaced person, probably got some dodgy shit going on and that's why he's running in those circles in the first place, sex is just like another form of transaction for people in those situations.
That's how I saw it anyway.
Also, if you watch the scene again, Chi Cheng wasn't insisting, he was gonna let it go (because I don't reckon he wants to fuck someone who he doesn't actively like because why would he?) but Chengyu offered the guy up anyway.

And then later we saw him rubbing up Chi Cheng's leg back at Chi Cheng's place, while sitting on the floor and touching his snake (lol that sounds like a rude pun it's literal) the atmosphere was strange, and I honestly wondered if he was on drugs or something, but they didn't elaborate on that guy much.

I think 'non consent' is in the context. I personally don't think Chi Cheng's personal sexual relationships involved non-consent. His fucked up dynamic with Chengyu and their 'rivalry' might have just inflated the rumors of Chi Cheng 'forcing' people.

This is just my take though, I'm not judging anyone who feels uncomfortable about this kind of thing, people have different levels of tolerance and/or perspectives on these issues.

Guy, guys. I just have to ask, do ya'll really think, with the kind of circles Chi Cheng runs in, that he's EVER actually had to force someone to have sex with him? Seriously.
Suowei is probably the first person to ever outright say NO to him, now he's down so bad.
I don't doubt that if it actually came to Chi Cheng trying to sleep with Xiaoshuai, as he conveniently threatened (knowing XS knows his reputation and knowing it'd be 'scary'), if Xiaoshuai had to tell him a hard no and push back, he would not follow through.

Just think about how epically surprised Chengyu was to get turned down by XS? Remember that slap? (I fucking loved that scene, it's on my profile's 'scenes that live rent free in my head' it was so damn good). These guys don't struggle to get laid ya'll, so who're they forcing? Pretty sure, according to what Chengyu said at the end of ep 10, all of the people who let Chi Cheng dick them down have been totes satisfied with their choice LOL

(this post is not about the scene from episode one, so keep your toys in your cots, that scene was fucked up, no two ways about it. This post is about Chi Cheng's personal and direct physical sexual engagements with people.)

So Dr Jiang says he can get WSW some "essence" to make things easier for him 🤣The fact WSW agreed shows how…
I actually think he was talking about Chinese Traditional Medicine. (he is a doctor after all, probably knows about it even if he practiced modern medicine, many medical professionals in China will know about TCM from their parents and grandparents).

I reckon 'essence' is some kind of thing to help Suowei to become aroused, since he said he 'tried but couldn't'. Also, Chi Cheng referred to it as a mental block, which makes sense psychologically, Suowei is emotionally attracted to Chi Cheng, and he wants more but he's having trouble getting past the default of having considered himself straight, so the brain and the physical side are not copacetic, so he needs a push. I doubt they wouldn't have gone 'all the way' or at least further than kissing, (in the office or in the shower) if Suowei had, uh, been UP to it, if you know what I mean. LOL
