Okay. But this doesn't make sense. Why would he kidnap him in the hospital that's full with police. Why didn't…
YEP. That's why I commented before that over all the ep was still entertaining, but this episode was a mess of inconsistencies, plot holes and strong scenes that fell off due to poor execution.

For one, that black and white 'Bison kills Kant' montage had the potential to be so much better. It was still a fun watch, but it was actually filmed quite poorly.

So, I can appreciate what they're going for and the episode was still over all entertaining and funny, but wow, it was a mess😂 Quite a few strong scenes really fell off too. But eh, I didn't hate it.

Like the gift giving scene in S02 of Under The Skin 😂 such a random obvs cut in the middle of the scene that looks and felt so out of place. Like okay, the girls can smear cake on each others face and get close enough to make out, but Du Cheng can't give Shen Yi a gift cause it's gAy lololol

Ok so finished ep 1 and i'm kinda confused about them saying they've entered the door like 2 or 3 times? So does…
About the dying first, there is no respawning. If people are able to do more than one door, it's because they haven't died in the game yet. And there is no replaying the whole game, just the levels to 'level up' or farm for useful 'items', with possibly different scenarios and outcomes.

Without spoiler for the other question: From a gaming perspective, the drama adapted a video game formula (whereas in the original novel, there is no game, it's a real alternative world). I'm not sure if you play video games, but for non-game players, it may not be familiar so I'll try and explain.

So, because of the game theme of the show, the doors are based on something similar to RPG 'outcome' game theory. This is a basic explanation from wiki:
[In game theory, the outcome of a game is the ultimate result of a strategic interaction with one or more people, dependent on the choices made by all participants in a certain exchange. It represents the final payoff resulting from a set of actions that individuals can take within the context of the game. Outcomes are pivotal in determining the payoffs and expected utility for parties involved.

Each player’s strategy is based on their expectation of what the other players are likely to do, often explained in terms of probability. Outcomes are dependent on the combination of strategies chosen by involved players and can be represented in a number of ways; one common way is a payoff matrix showing the individual payoffs for each players with a combination of strategies.]

So basically, the actions of every person playing can change the events in the doors, so every/any door each person goes into (between one and twelve) will be at a different level (according to their own level in the game) and the events that take place will differ. Every time someone goes into a door, things may be different or more difficult because of the game's 4 levels of difficulty and also what other players do or don't do.

There's more to it, which also makes the doors (as a video game make sense), but for non game-players, it might be confusing. Hope this helps.

I would like to ask whether its bl or friendship based drama and whether it has a good end or not
It's a censored BL, bromance is just a legally forced tag in China, they have to use it to get broadcast, but the source material is gay, this show is gay-censored. The ending is good.

Didn't pass censorship because Lanzhu is obvs gay for Jiushi. They even kept in a few of the BL based scenes from the novel, only changing them just enough to be censored. They basically opted to make one ML just a tiny bit obvious and the other ML 'cute but oblivious', so his feelings come off as ambiguous. But it was better than having them blather on about being 'best friends' every other episode in order to push the no-homo agenda, when they're not acting like friends do lol. They did the 'best friends' commenting thing in Jia You Ba Shao Nian 😂

Yeah, unfortunately they had to make significant changes due to censorship because who Ranzhu (Lanzhu) really is in the original novel and the entire reason he meets Qiushi (Jiushi) at all, is intentional and ties directly into to the fact that he's in love with Qiushi. lol SO they had to change the entire premise to soften the BL factor. If you're a reader, you can read the orginal novel, I've provided links here: https://kisskh.at/discussions/death-kaleidoscope/125101-kaleidoscope-of-death-novel-links-online-epub-pdf

Hear me out: Swap Perth (from P10L) and Joong's BL partners. Can ya'll see Santa opposite Joong as BL partners??? Visually fantastic.

I don't even dislike Dunk, I just think he's not well suited opposite Joong, never thought so, not since HA.

Ps: I'm a supporter of no fixed pairs in BL, hence.

I wasn't interested in the side couples in the slightest and the story timeline was off. I'm not sure of how old…
They're highschoolers, college is probably the name of the secondary school since they seem to have normal classes but also specialized courses. As for the disclaimers, those are because minors are not legally supposed to drink/smoke etc, but many do irl normally so the disclaimer is like a bandaid for sensitive viewers.

It's was cute and funny. Skipped A LOT of extras scenes and there was way too much unrealistic gay, but the core of the story was nice. Could have been 8 eps long without all the excess though. I like Phun and Noh as a pair, nice ending too. It was also well acted too, many of these kids are acting Better than the older BL actors. Over all fun watch to pass the time. 8/10
