Non-consensual kissing aside.... the boy put his hand inside Fadel's towel... but I guess that was okay? Nobody…
This comment is funny because it's like if someone watches Fast & Furious and then it bothers them when the characters are driving over the speed limit.
Episode 2 far exceeded episode 1 and that's a good thing, a strong opener and a better second ep is hard to manage for Thai BLs. As someone who drops GMMTV BLs almost regularly, I am actually hopeful this one won't disappoint me because I genuinely enjoyed ep 2 scene for scene. The filming style is better, the dialogue is different from usual typical GMMTV BLs and humorous and witty, and it's flowing well. And I think they're all acting well. I say all, even including Khao, who I have never liked before, in any BL I've watched him in prior this one. For once, I actually like his character and his acting. That's very surprising for me, but in a positive way.
I am here for Joong though, and he didn't disappoint. I do hope though, that even AFTER he inevitably hooks up with Style he won't change his general demeanor and character attitude because it's working for him, he's likeable AF imo. I also kind of think Style needs to get punched in the face at least once in this show, on principal, because I have no idea how Fadel has not already done so, he's been annoying as hell, fun though it was to watch, I would totally understand Fadel decking him 🤣 Actor wise, I have always had neutral feelings about Dunk, like, didn't care about his existence in BL one way or another. In this, I think he's playing a very uninhibited, unserious, impulsive and low key irritating character, and he's not doing it badly. Good for him. That locker room scene gets 10 out of 10 points from me. I'll take Fadel slamming Style against more hard surfaces in future eps for 500...feel free to take that last sentence in whatever context you like 😏
Over all, this is looking up, I'll be here for episode 3.
Two notes: 1. They should not put First in any scenes with someone who has real tattoos because it makes the poor quality fake tattoos they've given him stand out almost laughably. As someone with tattoos, I generally ignore it, and I did in ep 1, but then 'Tawan' showed up with his real tats and they were in two scenes at the same time and it was just a bit too obvs. 2. I don't understand anything about casting of Kant's younger brother at all. Nothing. Nada.
When it comes to Japanese manga/anime I only deal in Shonen Jump, so I haven't watched that, but what you explained paints a fairly clear visual 😂🤣 confused girlies
You will not be disappointed. SKAM France is my second favourite of the SKAM franchise, but it's a very close second for me, it's amazing, and Elliot (actor: Maxence Danet Fauvel) is stunning.

Alrighty! That was an entertaining watch! It had it's 'eh' points here and there and got a little confused about it's point in episode 10 and 11, but 12 came back strong! With all the characters playing a part, good amounts of humor and even a nice little twist that screwed 'boss' over. Over all the show was consistently fun and funny and the fight scenes were nicely choreographed, the acting also passed muster.
I found Joke, Hope and Tattoo to be the most likeable characters throughout the show, and Arun after that, then Jack and the rest. I was rather pleased that Hope didn't get an unnecessary boring ass redemption arc, he helped the 'good side' in the end, but he never apologized or became some sorry sad dude who regretted who he was, that would have been eyerolling. How things played out tracked for his character. That said, the whole 'bomb neck collar' hostage thing felt VERY unserious and was quite literally all over place, but I'm not gonna' pick it apart, holey as it was I still lold and found it entertaining so whatever.
In terms of Jack and Joke on a romantic front, I think the writers made some poor decisions and there were missed opportunities regarding how they chose to portray the couple getting together. Imo, it should have started earlier, either that, or they shouldn't have done the whole 'deeply in love/adoptive daughter/boyfriends/loving reunited family' thing in the very next episode after they just hooked up. As it happened, it was rushed and then got totally lost in the last episode, the kiss in on the 'brink of death' notwithstanding. Luckily, their 'love story' wasn't the focus of the show anyway, so nothing too major was lost.
I think this show is similar to DFF only in that people shouldn't watch it with their focus on the 'BL' element, watch it for everything else and if you end up enjoying the BL parts too, then it's better for you. I feel that way about it, I enjoyed DFF big time, but I skipped all the BL, didn't care about it at all, but in J&J, at least the BL was a bonus because I liked the pairing. That last kiss landed very well though, kudos to that scene.
Closed on a solid 8/10 for me (rounding it off from an 8.3) and no regrets.
