Alrighty! That was an entertaining watch! It had it's 'eh' points here and there and got a little confused about it's point in episode 10 and 11, but 12 came back strong! With all the characters playing a part, good amounts of humor and even a nice little twist that screwed 'boss' over. Over all the show was consistently fun and funny and the fight scenes were nicely choreographed, the acting also passed muster.
I found Joke, Hope and Tattoo to be the most likeable characters throughout the show, and Arun after that, then Jack and the rest. I was rather pleased that Hope didn't get an unnecessary boring ass redemption arc, he helped the 'good side' in the end, but he never apologized or became some sorry sad dude who regretted who he was, that would have been eyerolling. How things played out tracked for his character. That said, the whole 'bomb neck collar' hostage thing felt VERY unserious and was quite literally all over place, but I'm not gonna' pick it apart, holey as it was I still lold and found it entertaining so whatever.
In terms of Jack and Joke on a romantic front, I think the writers made some poor decisions and there were missed opportunities regarding how they chose to portray the couple getting together. Imo, it should have started earlier, either that, or they shouldn't have done the whole 'deeply in love/adoptive daughter/boyfriends/loving reunited family' thing in the very next episode after they just hooked up. As it happened, it was rushed and then got totally lost in the last episode, the kiss in on the 'brink of death' notwithstanding. Luckily, their 'love story' wasn't the focus of the show anyway, so nothing too major was lost.
I think this show is similar to DFF, only in that people shouldn't watch it with their focus on the 'BL' element, watch it for everything else and if you end up enjoying the BL parts too, then it's better for you. I feel that way about it, I enjoyed DFF big time, but I skipped all the BL, didn't care about it at all, but in J&J, atleast the BL was a bonus because I liked the pairing. That last kiss landed very well though, kudos to that scene.
Closed on a solid 8/10 for me (rounding it off from an 8.3) and no regrets.
China's government is hell bent on only pushing traditional family values in the media (man, wife, children = happy home), hence the reason that while being gay is not illegal in China, any homosexual or 'feminine men' related content is banned in the media, so they can try and keep the reach of it as limited as possible. Not that it's working, because they're a modern rapidly developing country and people are not blind or stupid.

I don't care about the rating. I'm just reading all the comments and trying to figure out what the actual problem is here. It sounds like a stupid issue from what you've said. But I guess that's not surprising, fan wars are always stupid.

So certain fans are mad that First and Khao actually acted out a sex scene more visually this time? Or they didn't want any sex, even visually implied?
There are more but very small scale and without much publicly Like Gym Affairs, which doesn’t even have an MMDL…
Just wanted to say thanks for mentioning Gym Affairs, it was a fun watch. I submitted it for admission to MDL, it's now available to rate, add to your list and recc to people on here with a reference: https://kisskh.at/780052-gym-affairs
unfortunately there are no further plans for Mick/Top to work together so this was just a one-time project. Top…
Yeah, we were talking about Thai BLs because that is their thing, 'permanent pairs', but (imo) many of the pairs don't work that well. Some do obvs, and I even like some the pairs with great chemistry to work together more than once, but if they acted with a different partner, I'd be fine with it too.
As a result of not changing actors, Thai BLs struggle to grow their actors potential, even while they're putting out the most BL content, it's ultimately with questionable quality and with fans who focus on actors instead of the show. They really need to change things up.

I don't think it's a shame. I think BL actors should not be permanently paired. Aside from it feeding into the obsessions of mentally unhealthy fans who can't separate fiction from rl, it limits the actors chances to grow in new acting dynamics with new people. I wish all BLs would change things up. But that's just me. So if Mick acts with someone else in a BL, I'd check it out for sure.

I hope so, I enjoyed his acting work in this, and even with a new BL partner, I'd watch his work! :D Overall, even if he doesn't do anymore BL, I'm sure he'll keep acting.
I knew that a kiss on the lips was impossible due to the actors' ages, so an interruption was inevitable, but…
They might do an 'angle' kiss at some point, as in, we don't have to see it, but it looks like it's happening, which would be fine. 15 year old's irl make out more than most adults these days, so if it's filmed to imply they kiss it'd make sense. But yes, Yuri showing up was out of nowhere, not just so cheerfully like Noh didn't just friendzone her the night before, and why was she inside his school anyway.
What is happening is the display of homophobia and bigotry in the BL fandom. It doesn’t surprise me to be honest,…
I would be more inclined to believe it's a wave of unhinged fans who don't like that another BL is 'competing' with their favorite. We see this all the time on here, unhinged fans going through rating wars because they like the actors in these shows, so regardless of whether the show is good or not, they want the rating to reflect their feelings. I've see people write some variation of 'I'm gonna give this a low rating just to bring it down' many times on here. If it were an SK BL I'd find it more believe that it was homophobia.
I'll be honest, I wasn't actually expecting Yuri to walk in, I thought it'd end all sweet and they'd drag her oblivious crush on Noh our for another ep or so.
"his sperm donor"?? That was hilarious 🤣 Nevertheless I am not very optimistic about the ending of this series…
Lol, calling him Qi Lu's father/dad got harder and harder as I wrote. I am not the type to worry over the end of a show before I get there, however it ends, I prefer to determine it's validity/quality at that time and pertaining to the over all plot. Up to now , I have been and will continue to enjoy the story for everything it's giving, which, imo, is W after W in each ep.
I really enjoyed this, it's well done, actually surpasses many other 'popular' BLs by miles. I am also glad to discover Mick and Top as a Thai BL pair, they work really well together on screen and they're going on my profile list of 'fave Thai BL pairs' as soon as I have a chance to put them on there.
My fave parts were episodes 3 and 4, and then 7 and 8, but they were all good and enjoyable,. I'd say ep 2 was the lowest point for me, I got bored, but it wasn't because it was bad, it's just because office romance isn't my thing.

the whole time i was so scared the drug dealer guys will hurt grandpa ðŸ˜
I love that that didn't happen, in other BLs it probs would have and there would have been kidnapping and unrealistic levels of drama for these small city people with very standard lives. They're keeping things quite tidy here and it's great imo.
