I appreciate Ju Jing Yi being in this drama. In China, she has a lot of traffic and carries a drama. In fact,…
To be fair, JJY has improved each time I watched her drama and she is way better than she was in Legend of Yunxi. If I were to be objective and stop comparing her to the first actress, I agree with you, JJY and LXY looked good and they paired well as the leads.

True I get the usefulness of having an idol actress to bring in the traffic even if the actress's acting skills are mediocre.
It's like having some KPOP bands collaborate with other singers - even though they cannot sing as well, and you can clearly tell the difference in talent, the song might be a hit because of the KPOP singer's popularity.
Liu Xue Yi clearly outshines JJY in the acting department so it's a bit distracting in that sense but I simply focus on him :)
Just because she as this character won a award does not mean much to me. I only go by what I feel from watching the show. I am on ep 20 and am continuing because I like the story and LXY. I am kind of neutral about JJY at this point because I chose not to be nitpicky about her. Together, they do look good but I don't get the same heart-fluttering chemistry that he had with the first actress.
Trying this again. Last time I put it on hold because it was difficult to watch a mediocre actress become the main character after the initial actress who was clearly better.
I can forgive the glaring lack of similiarities between the two but the FL can't even look intelligent let alone act like she was good in investigating. Even thogh it was just a face swap, the personality somehow transformed from a calm, smart demeanor into a little girl trying to act all cute.
Such a shame for a show to be dragged down by miscasting because the story is a good one, supported by other decent actors,
I am a Liu Xue Yi fan so I am going to hang in there again while waiting for better shows to air.
Many of the ML from short length dramas can kiss hahahhaha
I usually don't watch short length dramas but I liked the ML from Uncanny Destiny so decided to try this out...comments below mentioned other actors too... looks like I have to try out short length dramas more! :)
The four episodes went by too quickly! I can always count on Esther to lift my spirits...she is just so endearing and I love her outfits. As much as I want to see her more in serious dramas like MJTY, I look forward to her lighter shows. I was not sure about the pairing with Linyi but so far they are good together...the height difference...nice!
I love the urban trendy humor and dialogue, and Esther's character is witty! She does not back down.
I wish they didn't edit the scene when she got sprayed....really curious to know what exactly happened.
40 episodes were way too long...but somehow I was engaged enough to continue watching to the end. I did watch 2X speed between eps 32 - 38 since the plot became rather predictable. The make up was really heavy, and I wonder if that was the reason FSF came across so stiff and emotionless. Regardless, I liked watching him and the charm of an older man romancing a bright, younger FL did work for me in this show. If you are a fan of FSH or JT, you probably like this show. In general, I would recommend you try the show and see if it suits your taste.
The romance between the leads is captivating and engaging, elevated by their amazing chemistry. However, this is not a fluffy, lighthearted rom-com.
The story is more emotional, evoking laughter, smiles, tears, and annoyance. You will feel frustrated at the characters' choices but also sympathize with them. At its core, the plot explores themes of healing from trauma, self-discovery, and the transformative power of self-love and love from another.
For many of us who have already reached the end, Sang Yan and Yi Fan's journey is sure to remain a wonderful memory. I myself will forever have Sang Yan as one of the best MLs ever.
Ep 29 was emotional and so satisfying on so many levels! Sang Yan - you deserve the love that you have waited for all this while and YiFan, I am so happy you are finally comfortable in your own world, with the people who love you.
