I really like WRL's kind of ML - unassuming and quiet but actually smart, thoughtful, high EQ, and the list goes on. He flies under the radar but is always a few steps ahead.

Wang Yi Bo is excellent - this is actually my first drama of his ...yes I have not watched The Untamed ;D

If you want a show with excellent acting, suspenseful plot and realistic portrayal of morally gray characters, this show is it.
I look forward to the showdown between STN with WRL but even more with his sister. Would someone who is so calculating act against the people he cares for?

This show is addicting! Started today and I’m up to ep 7 now but I had to stop because WRL just did something that I thought was incredibly dumb…

The dubbing job here is good. I was totally taken in since ZLY and LGX sounded like they did in their other dramas.

OK, because ZLY sounds like she did in her other dramas like the Story of Minglan and her master, the Empress sounds like she did in Love LikeThe Galaxy, and LGX sounds like he did in Master of My Own.

Maybe they used the same voice actors...

Did the actors use their real voices? I think so, and I like it, but I wanted to ask.

Shen Li is a FL worthy of a reverse harem - beautiful, intelligent, strong and skilled and she is so rational.
Can we get Mo Fang back so that we have all three males under one roof with her???

I like the way Xing Zhi looks at Shen Li - trying to resist but still cannot help but be attracted to her.
Plus, he can be so demanding...the way he says, "I just want.." 😂
Furong is such a little brat compared to him.

So true, LGX is playing the role well, from the bumbling mortal to the wise Emperor. I like the way he looks at the FL, as if he is resisting but cannot help but be charmed by her.

All the episodes just flew by. I am really liking the FL - it's not often that we have such a stable, rational FL who is strong and intelligent too.

ML is the typical silent one who will do the whole push and pull thing with the FL but that's ok. I kind of expected from xianxia dramas. Plus it is LGX who's acting well.

No second lead syndrome for me but Mo Fang is pretty hot.

So true - the ML is all fumbling but we can tell that he's got powers. At first I thought I would be annoyed by Clunk Clunk but instead I found her to be well done!

I am up to episode 5, and I am enjoying this show. The pacing is interesting, with a calm, slow feeling as we see the slice-of-life activities for the leads, but at the same time it has some fast-paced scenes.

LGX isn't the best looking in this show but I like his ML character and he pairs well with ZLY. Now I really like ZLY's FL character and she looks great.

CGI is on and off but the chicken/pheasant is fun to watch.

She probably will as she gets bolder and not trying so hard to hide her identity from him!
