The title of this drama is so appropriate - my favorite character is still STN. I am low-key supporting him and his hope and ambition to better his country. To be clear, it is his principles and strive that I admire, not his KMT party. I also like how he still chose family over his beliefs and he still did his best for his sister and WRL including going against everything he believed in.
I wish there could be a win-win situation where STN and WRL could collaborate, representing their own faiths but still coming together for the greater good of the people. Like I want to see STN get rid of the filthy corruption from the inside with intel from WRL.
I did not like the way Chunmiao and Jinzhen pressured WRL into joining their party. I feel like it was still not his own choice and he is still wavering.

The one flaw in the show for me is the Chun Miao character. I do t know if it is the acting or the way the character is written but she’s too over the top and I don’t know why WRL gives her so much leeway.
EPS 29 and 30 were fantastic! Definitely shows as a high-budget drama with the effects so well-done. Really like the new Ms. Jin character. I hope she sticks around!
As much as this show raises my blood pressure, I am truly enjoying it. Acting is excellent, the plot is gripping and each episode end keeps me guessing. I usually don’t watch previews but now I am cursing at the lack of previews for ep 29 and 30
Ahaha, the latest two episodes were so fun and sweet to watch. Who would have thought that Xing Zhi is such a romantic with the flowers and all. This show is a good mix of humor and angst, with lots of chemistry and camaraderie among the cast.
I have to stop at ep 25 for the moment. Feeling so disheartened at the whole situation and wishing/hoping that the relationship between STN and WRL won't sour. I really like those two and I hate seeing STN falling prey to those corrupted higher-ups 😭
Poor Xing Zhi, every time he confesses, Shen Li is either unconscious or cannot hear...So she still doesn't know
I love LGX's acting as the ancient god - he does not get super emotional with the crying and all but you can see how pained he is. And kudos to the voice actor too - with the voice breaking and wavering at the right moments...
I'm gonna indulge in my shameless admiration of LXY and just say thank you for the scene where the man showed off his physique and then demonstrated that he does not do dead fish kisses
