She was pretty bad to the point that I couldn’t finish any of her dramas except for one.
But I think she did improve here. At least she’s moved on from a constant vacuous expression to being able to cry more naturally.

I’m still not that impressed by YCY but she was better and less stiff here during the scenes when she needed to show sadness or pouty expressions. I think she just does not have the face for different emotions and it’s more suitable for simple female characters like the cloud fairy and the mortal XY in the second trial.

That said, there are more trials coming up and I look forward to being surprised by her. DYX is a great partner as a lead so I hope she got some tips from him!

You’re right! The fairy made so many dumb choices including going back when her father told her never to do so no matter what the Prince told her.
I also didn’t understand why the parents chose to kill themselves so quickly. They know the Prince would never kill them. They could have helped the daughter escape and also help the ML fight against the Prince.
Not very good writing for this arc 😑

True! The moments about the parents were poignant and heart touching. Unfortunately, featuring so much of the SML and the palace shenanigans made this arc less enjoyable.

Finally finished ep 12. I felt sad for the parents but honestly I’m just glad that this 2nd trial is over. Too much stupidity and predictability. I hope the FL character will be smarter and we will see less of the second leads in the next one.

Yes, she’s Cang Hai the demon lord that the ML defeated and I guess when she died, her primordial spirit landed in some form that the Red Thread Master rescued and gave a “human” form to her. That is why she is in the Heaven Realm.

I don’t think Cang Hai is the sister of Jin Lian, the demon who wants the stone goblin to fall in love. I guess the sister who is also the Saintess is called Jin Meng but we don’t know much about her yet.

The ML Chu Kong lost his memories probably after being injured in the battle against Cang Hai since he lost half his primordial spirit. The show is implying that there is more to them just being enemies 30000 years ago so I hope the show will explain more soon.

I don’t know what happened to the SML that caused him to be in Mount Moluo where he met Cang Hai. I’m sure they will show later how he fell in love with her and the story behind the jade piece that he treasures so much.
The stone goblin is actually the Nuwa Stone that the demons threw into the mortal world so that it can learn about love. According to Jin Lian, the Nuwa Stone needs to be filled with love in order to beat like a real heart and I guess they think they need that to bring Cang Hai back to life.

I don’t think it is the same as LBFAD but the realms are similar because it’s more or less the same like the heavenly realm, the mortal realm but the demon realm has a specific name in this drama. Is ZLH playing the war god here? I don’t think so since Chu Kong is the war god.

I was thinking of that too but technically Dong Hua was not the Heavenly Lord at that time. He was the Dijun but not the current ruler. Still I guess he’s the closest 😁

Ah so it’s the typical set up when the Emperor forces the ML to choose between the FL and the greater good of the 6 realms. We already know that the FL is the demoness Cang Hai.

Somehow whenever I see the Heavenly Emperor Hao Xuan, he seems so sus because i can’t help but think of his other character Yin Song in New Life Begins. Lol…
Also because most Heavenly Emperors end up being the worst characters 😆

I just started and binged up to ep 9. It’s an entertaining show, very light. Fun filler show and one that I can watch at 1,5 speed without missing anything.
I like the OSTs, costumes and effects. As for acting, Ding Yu Xi is the only one that has the talent worthy of a lead character.
My recommendation is if you do start this show, watch past ep 7 because the prior episodes are setting up the story and may be a little slow for some. Also don’t have high expectations. DYX can only do so much with what was provided.

This show deserves a higher rating. I binge-watched this because it was entertaining. It’s about time travel but with a twist which I thought was quite well done. There’s black magic and supernatural elements so one has to ignore the plot holes and suspend disbelief.
I thought Donut and Garn paired well and had good chemistry. Biw was charming and I hope to find more of his shows that are subbed.
Overall, it was time well spent to watch this show. I hope more people get to appreciate it!

Yeah, one question I have is whether the old geezer was really connected or not?
I wish they didn’t take this turn. The whole would have been just great if they focused on the different cases like the previous ones.
Anyway still enjoying the show!
