Jinhee and Jaewon just made my night…I was getting annoyed by the “ all about EunMi” show until they happened. Now all is forgiven. Eunmi showed a better version of herself this episode though.
Can’t believe we have one more episode left! Can it be all about Jinhee and Jaewon?

I agree with this. I think he really blames himself for the girl’s death so he feels like he is the culprit.

This movie was entertaining in its own right and I think most would enjoy it if they don’t compare it to the drama. I was disappointed at first because I was expecting the focus to be on the romance between the main characters. While the chemistry was there and the romance was sweet, it was not as insanely good as the drama.
Overall, viewers should not expect too much similarity to the drama. There are some connections but one does not have to watch the drama to enjoy this movie.
It was time well spent for me. Pope and Bella still looked great together and I hope I can see them in another lakorn soon.

I think, the selection of a drama appropriate for one’s ability is a sign of improvement. In the past, YCY was often thrown into projects too overwhelming for her and she was not given a proper chance at the start.
So even though her character in this drama has limited range, it is a good one for her to hone her skills without getting lost.

I agree that the next level would be for YCY to improve on showing different emotions. She often looks blank and her eyes expressionless in scenes that don’t call for extreme emotions. She’s improved in her crying scenes which is a good achievement since many cannot cry well.

Yeah, the body swap trope is hard to pull off for most actors. DYX was doing ok but I agree that there’s room for improvement.

I tend to separate my opinions between the novel and drama so I cannot really compare. The show is very entertaining in its own right. It’s not a masterpiece but it is certainly worth watching.

I know the c-netizens can be really harsh and they pick on the smallest thing but surely they are not blind. I hope the good ratings can drown the haters!

I don’t get it - are people still hating on YCY? Or are people hung up on past comments? She has improved so I would imagine that most viewers can see that and focus on the positive instead.
I started this show commenting about how bad her acting was in previous shows but I stopped once I saw that she has improved, slowly yes but it is still in the right direction.

Totally agree with you that the execution is well done and the way the characters interact and react feels natural and realistic. When it comes to the romantic scenes, i also feel that the Taiwanese actors are better. Much less staged for sure!

Eps 13 and 14 are back on track for me with the show’s quirky dark humor. This time with some romance included 😊
The acting and directing was great in the previous 3 episodes before these latest ones but the case was a little disturbing for me, especially when it involved the lead characters directly.
I applaud the show for taking on difficult social messages like the current case highlighting the plight of the migrant workers in Taiwan. I’m impressed that they got real Indonesian actors or those who can speak Indonesian fluently.
I really like the way the show puts the characters in situations against each other, often times it’s not black and white.
Looking forward to next week’s episodes!

Some of us called it when we thought that the Heavenly Emperor was highly suspicious from the beginning, all because of the actor’s character from his previous drama. 😆

I watched this for Sean and again he made it time well spent. This is an entertaining lakorn, with flaws for sure but still good to watch. I like Charlette but I don’t quite like her FL character. Instead of sassy, she comes across as being spoiled and immature many times. The SML was also too clingy and annoying, to the point where had to watch at 2x speed just to get through his scenes.
Charlette looked her age so I was thrown off at first. However Sean managed to make it work and I didn’t notice the age difference that much ultimately. Not surprisingly, there were no steamy scenes which I preferred since it would have felt awkward to me. There were many sweet moments though when both Sean and Charlette looked so good.
Overall, I would recommend this drama with a warning that it does get draggy in the middle.

I agree with you. People can criticize, but some were way too harsh. The fact is that YCY improved in this drama.
Other than Heroes and this one, I could not finish any of her other shows but I still keep trying with each drama because every new drama is a new chance to see someone do better.
