Hate me as you please but the last 6 eps is satisfying , I LIKE IT ... I know there are some plot holes like the…
I saw the last 6 episodes as a mini spin off about the ML's backstory and the resolution of the his issues with the support of RSB. I am quite happy with the ending!
Watching Ep 35 made me wonder how many scenes ended up on the cutting-room floor, because suddenly we got exactly what we’ve been wanting to see: our couple actually working together and in sync like a proper power couple, using their brains and resources.
A little too late in the game - I’m feeling salty but if we get a happy ending where they both maintain their own identities, I would be satisfied.
No I think he was genuine, the poor guy has some serious abandonment issues.
That I don't disagree. Even though, in some scenes, he did gain the upperhand like in the scene we talked about, there is a definite imbalance. I blame the change in direction for the story to make it heavily female-centric in the second part of the show.

He does have abandonment issues, but he’s never been fragile—and I don’t think he suddenly is now. I buy that he was genuinely upset, but the old LJL? He would’ve used it to his advantage too. That mix of vulnerability and calculation is kind of his signature. Just like he was in the ending credit scene...lol. And yes, I’m choosing to believe that version still exists, because I very much want the old LJL back.
Ep 34 - So… was LJL genuinely weepy and upset, or was he using his signature move of playing the victim to melt RSB’s defenses? Honestly, who cares. Master manipulator or helpless victim, the result was the same—by the end of the night, he got exactly what he wanted. And she didn’t exactly lose out either.
Edit - Ep 35 explained more why he reacted the way he did. Yes, our LJL was not that weak after all, at least in that ep 34 scene.
Ep 32 - RSB’s boss mode really just keeps leveling up—no limit. With the imperial family backing her family throughout history, it all clicks now. That confidence? That arrogance? Totally understandable.
I haven’t watched the latest episodes (30-31) but RSB is more than a boss. At this point, she’s omnipresent,…
I’m with you. At this point RSB isn’t playing chess—she is the game. Apparently operating three steps ahead of everyone at all times. The rest of the characters are just waiting for her next revelation like, “Ah yes, of course you already knew.” The power level is truly cosmic.
Ep 31 — RSB is fully in boss mode. Yes, she’s bitchy, but honestly? I love it since it’s targeted at people who absolutely deserve it. Poor LJL though—I hate what the show is doing to his character. That said… NHM with the flowing hair? Gorgeous...Finally I see some cracks through that icy facade of RSB. She does worry about LJL..
Why does he have to carry his fathers burden is my question. That happened to his father eons ago was related…
I agree with you. Unfortunately, people (in dramas and irl) are far too quick to judge someone based on their family background and upbringing. In dramas especially, a parent’s “sins” seem to stain the next generation by default, as if guilt is hereditary.
Oh no, did they really have to include the trope of past family enmity and hatred? We know that there's going to be trouble for our couple when the ML's identity is revealed 😭I hope the ML can prove his father's innocence very soon and not towards the end of the show.🤞

They casted Xue Shu Yu well as LJL's elder brother. They could pass off as siblings.
