PSH has come a long way since I first watched her in The Heirs. Gotta suspend some disbelief about her posing as a 20 year-old but other than that, this looks like a fun watch!
I love the actor playing her boss. I just finished Can This Love Be Translated and he's also in Idol I. Such a talented actor!

Did anyone else notice the camerawork where most of the background is blurred out and mainly the character is in focus? Even though the director wants to move our attention to the character, I find it distracting.

Amidst the speculations and suspicions, there are a couple of things I am glad about:
- the relationship between the emperor and Xiao Jin Yu.
- Chu Chu may seem naive but she is actually very aware - she knows about the political dangers and implications, epecially with Xiao Jing Yu sharing his thoughts with her.

That said, I don't think he would be working for his Eldest brother though so I think he's pretending to be cooperating now but will claim the power for himself.

I am leaning towards that theory as well. He's likely going to cause trouble for our couple.

It’s such a rare treat! Not only did we get a Season 2 with the lead couple happily married, but the show went the extra mile and gave us a second couple who are also blissfully married.

Confident or not, though, we all know how this story goes—SMLs are there to make noise but MLs will make it to the end. The outcome has never really been in doubt especially when the FL is too smart to fall into the SML's game.

Well said! I actually like the character's purpose in this story. I am catching up with today's episode and I get why people are upset with him for all the shady things he's done. However, I have a feeling that he will have a redemption arc after he realized what his father has done. (I am just guessing what his father did)

Usually I would complain when there are so many clichés in a show, but not for this one.
The clichés are written into the story in such a way that’s genuinely enjoyable and entertaining.

With such charismatic leads, a polarizing SML, great dialogue and scenes, along with fun side stories threaded through the VR world, it’s no surprise the ratings have stayed high.

Looking forward to it! I too thought there was some chemistry between them. Cliched but I support these two besties getting together :D

So many people venting about SML... don't worry folks, This is the classic setup: throw in a little competition and a dash of jealousy, the emotionally repressed ML finally opens up, the sweet and kind FL’s nurturing instincts kick in, and voilà—emotional healing arc unlocked and all is well.

So the emotional cheating has started, and I guess the kiss was initiated by the girl. OK, time for bestie to move on.

Even if the husband didn't physically cheat, he had no reason to hide things and chose to confide in the other girl instead. He could have been upfront why she was involved in the first place.
