There have been recent comments about how the show changed the script to be more RSB focused instead of the ML. Some of the "victories" like taking Jiang down should have been LJL's doing but don't know why the show had to make it more about the females. I am all for female empowerment but I am even more for a balanced relationship between the leads.

Maybe a happy ending would be they continue living as partners but not in marriage. So no one violates the Rong family rules and he does not have to give up anything. We have other dramas that end happily that way :D

I hope so! I am frustrated by their relationship right now.

No kidding! I still remember the scene of her pointing the arrow at the baddie, protecting her man. I love that couple and show!

Oh heaven forbid she has to apologize to her granddaughters! In the end, Madam Yan had to coax her into thinking that she actually did RSB a lot of good by making her suffer.

Exactly. I understand that a lot of this comes from her upbringing, but at this point, I honestly don’t feel like she deserves LJL. Even worse, I really don’t want to see him marry into the Rong family and slowly lose his own identity. The whole family does not deserve him.

After watching the previews for tomorrow, it really looks like RSB's going to keep playing the ultra-strong heroine who swoops in to rescue LJL.

The show has gone a bit too far with the role reversal. The reverse-harem phase was fun for a while, but I think most of us were really hoping to see the power couple actually come together and scheme as one. Sadly… that hasn’t happened and we are running out of episodes.

She's just way too cold and in most cases, kind of bitchy. I am just disappointed.

I think for me to continue enjoying this show, I need to reframe it as a female-centric story—about RSB and the Rong matriarchal clan weathering storms and thriving.

But please… I don't want that for the final stretch. For the last few episodes, I want the tables turned. I want RSB to be the one chasing, pacing, and stressing—actually worried about LJL’s safety and genuinely afraid of losing him.

I have to agree with you abut her needing to change. I really want her to chase after LJL for the last few episodes.

I think she dares to push his buttons because she knows he is strong and she clearly likes it. Yes, she probably is so used to being in control that she cannot just stop the habit but just seeing how they were in ep 31, I think the balance would be fine.

Oh that's true, there was a novel but the drama is very different.

OK, it's almost time for the Capital arc. Can someone who read the novel share if it is RSB's turn to chase after LJL? I need to see our baby LJL being treated well!

I think she finally realize that it is time to move on in ep 31. She's bitter but at least she's now accepted it.

That's probably because she knew that the wedding will not happen. I agree, I don't like her not telling him everything at this point and I think the way she did things was really bitchy. All I am saying is that she wants him to stand up to her.

I meant she keeps pushing his button to make sure that he will still stand up to her. Not specifically about the wedding.

Oh my god, the Grandmother just does not learn...I guess she's too old to change.

I think RSB is testing LJL - you can tell she was loving his manly temper tantrum before the hot 💋scenes. She doesn't want a doormat for her husband.
