I just finished ep 6 and I just love how Penneung and Mata are developing their relationship. It’s so natural. James Ji is winning me over as usual as the ML. Toey is just perfect as Mata!

There were 4 short scenes between 1-3 minutes. Each was cute sweet moments between Hanye and Ziyuan or both of them with their son Han Ning Xi. Most of them led to Hanye wanting to do the deed with Zi yuan but all implied, nothing really shown. Ziyuan did kiss Hanye’s cheek once.
Then there was a set of interviews of the actors talking about their characters.

During historical times, it was likely to be true especially for the concubines. The more the emperor wanted to spend the night with them, the more secure their positions.

I still enjoyed the last episode because it was the outcome we all wanted but it didn’t hit the sweet spot because I now know about the scenes they could have included.

No idea - this show had terrible scriptwriters from the beginning although the later one was better.
