Still way too many scenes of WJG and FY. FY still so whiny and wishy-washy until maybe for a few seconds in the…
LOL...the screenwriter really did FY dirty by making her all whiny and self-righteous. She had moments when she shined and if she ended up being a physician or something like that, we could have respected her more. Instead she spent one year playing fake couple with WJG before begrudgingly accepting him after seeing MX couldn't care less about him.
You're totally right about MX's and CWD's characters. Seeing how MX was so successful, he would not want her to give up everything for him plus he had low confidence in his appearance.
Funny how I started not liking MX at all to her being the better character in my mind ultimately.

Yeah, out of the 3 kdramas in watching now, 19th Life is the most enjoyable. I usually won’t drop a show until I have watched half of it so 4 more episodes to go 😁 Hopefully the FL becomes more likable

I am enjoying The Outsider more now that the FL seems to be smarter in the later episodes. King the Land is good and funny but I still have to warm up to the FL. Sometimes she irritates me by being so quick to judge...

We think alike! I was wondering why in the world would they turn up at the right time to see MX and CWD reunite. Seems kind of unnecessarily random! Them aside though, it was great how MX and XW tricked CWD into appearing...was he going to follow them and protecting MX in secret forever if they didn't force him to show up?

The Outsider is ok. I am watching mainly for Vengo Gao, who fits the role of an arrogant jerk who is not detestable ;D. Just like Donghua Dijun...lol...The FL starts being a little clueless but she does get better. I've only seen 5 episodes but so far, it's not too bad. I'm also watching See You in My 19th Life, King the Land and The Real Has Come...my favorite is SYIM19thL...
Um…but the way CWD survives was more hilariously unrealistic than if the land slide had swept him into the river…
So true, I was like...wait, he was able to open his eyes fully and somehow flew away from the mudslide, and then ended up being unconscious submerged in the river. And then no more explanation....he just magically survived all that lol
yeah it's done!! Definitely a HE. can say a clean ending w wrap ups of everyone fate, even though there are bugs…
You know, I actually prefer that MX interacted less with FY. Somehow I get the impression that FY was still against CWD to the point that when they saw CWD and MX reunite, WJG had to reassure her that since MX has accepted him, they should feel at ease.

Same here! So tired of FY and WJG, till the very end FY was so whiny. She even looked unhappy when she saw MX reunited with CWD lol Yeah, it was nice at least to see them reunite and be on their way to their happy ending. Like you said, sometimes all we get is the couple seeing each other and smile...haha. At least here we got a kiss too!
All done and I am kind of satisfied! Lol, some scenes did defy logic but no complaints here except...
Still way too many scenes of WJG and FY. FY still so whiny and wishy-washy until maybe for a few seconds in the end. WJG got the closure he needed from MX who was so gracious. She was the ultimate boss lady through and through. As she said, it was her who no longer wanted him.
CWD's alive and has been protecting MX. How he survived was the part that defied logic, but hey, as long as we get our happy ending! They even allowed them to get together a whole 15 minutes before the episode ended, and we also got a kiss. Honestly, CWD did not look bad at all, even with his face partially disfigured.
Unfortunately (for me), we got yet another scene of FY and WJ seeing MX and CWD together, simply because FY needed another sign that MX has moved on, and she can finally be at ease and accept WJG....sigh, why did we waste so much time on this couple??? I would rather have another 15 minutes of CWD and MX together.
So the villains got punished, with MX and CWD providing evidence of their treachery as the catalyst. The Marquis and Wu Lang foolishly tried to assassinate the young emperor. CWD did some fancy footwork and managed to protect the emperor until WJG (for once) arrived at the right time to end the assassination attempt.
So all's well that ends well. Even WuYin got redemption as he helped MX against Wu Lang. Xiao Wu remained steadfastly loyal and one of my favorite characters.
So overall, I enjoyed this messy story, and as infuriating as the characters may be, they kept me engaged.
