Agree, we need some satisfaction from seeing the villains get punished!!! Yeah, if only Youku wouldn't drag it out so much. I guess since this show may not be as popular, they didn't bother with an express package.
Usually the parts not involving the main leads would be less interesting to me but not this show…every scene is enjoyable and many times funny. Love watching the Sang family, Sang Zi’s roommates and friends, DJX, Sang Yan and their bros, etc… even the dialogue of a side character is hilarious…’”can the stairs hold the weight of their love, and the staircase is sturdy like the path to their future 😂 somehow I don’t find anything cringey just funny 😆

Cool! I think they can wrap her revenge nicely in 3 episodes. The romantic in me wants CWD to be alive and be together with MX but I can live with him being dead and MX be the ultimate heroine who delivers justice. FY and WJG can just bug off and live in their prim and proper regretful bubble.
CWD and MX have now properly committed to each other and MX initiated the first willing kiss (and another one…
You're probably right, WJG and FY were so prejudiced against CWD that they probably cannot accept that MX would want to be with him. So they continue trying to get her away from CWD. Just seems that there are some cut scenes.

We actually have 3 more episodes so I think your first idea would work. I don't know if CWD will get to prove his innocence but I really hope that he will get his revenge against Wu Lang and the other backstabbing villains.
Sweet moments of CWD and MX but all leading to a heartbreaking decision made by CWD. He wanted Xiao Wu to escape…
Unconfirmed. The last we saw of both of them was CWD lying on top of MX. Like you said, there are shots of him together with MX so hopefully his death is not the end game. Just hard to tell with MX's daydreams.
Sweet moments of CWD and MX but all leading to a heartbreaking decision made by CWD. He wanted Xiao Wu to escape with MX and the others while he went into his final battle (a suicide mission) with the Longxiang army. MX had no idea and up to the end, she was planning and daydreaming with CWD about their future. She even started calling him FuJun (husband). 😭
FY and WJG - who would have thought that you would be the ones to cause harm to MX...FY guessed CWD's diversion plan and warned WJG to watch the main camp instead. In the end, when CWD was at her camp, she guessed that CWD was actually trying to help MX escape but it was too late. As for WJG, he only wanted to block the escape route but WY completely took control and totally annihilated everyone.
WY - in the end, he could not fight for MX. He had to choose his mother over her and could not go against his evil father. I really hope the show gives us some satisfaction in seeing Wu Lang get the worst punishment ever.
CWD supposedly died protecting MX. MX had a sweet but very sad daydream about CWD before regaining consciousness. She then sacrificed by staying with him instead of alerting FY and WJG who went looking for her. Paraphrasing her monologue - "I love the two of you and you both love me. However, other than you, I still have CWD but he only has me. In the end, it is still just the two of us together." 😭
I was so mad at WJG - all he could say was that WY had the permit so he could do whatever he wanted. I get that he was a subject of the court and he had to obey but he just seemed so useless to me. Even when FY wanted to continue looking for MX, all he could do was provide useless consolations and hypotheticals.
The episode ended on a cliffhanger with WJG's men supposedly finding MX's badly burnt body. I can guess who it was but we shall see...

CWD and MX have now properly committed to each other and MX initiated the first willing kiss (and another one via an interesting gesture of committing herself to him). Aww, CWD became a teddy bear immediately and his expressions were so sweet. However, he should really stop being jealous of WJG and accusing MX of missing him.
Just as I feared, CWD was overconfident and did not expect any of his men to betray him. In the end, his army was defeated and they were chased out of Qingchou. MX and CWD both were sick by now.
FY was the MVP of this episode - her dedication to MX meant her relentlessly harassing WJG until he finally did something morally right. He went against WY and helped CWD and MX. Unfortunately, it may all be too late.
WJG kept promising but not delivering. That said, MX did refuse to escape with him so it's not all his fault. I am confused why WJG did not tell FY about MX's decision to stay with CWD. Probably some scenes were deleted again.
I used not to mind WY thinking that he was an interesting 3ML but with all the scheming and dishonorable sneak attacks, I really wish he would just go away. Ultimately he was just a pawn and also faced the agony of potentially not being able to save MX.
Ep 33 was stressful with all the backstabbing and betrayal - CWD suffered a huge setback. The romance was in the background but at least one couple is solid now. Yet again some unnecessary flashbacks - total filler time.

ZLS - best actress ever - to do all that not only with a straight face but crying instead 👏
DJX, no wonder you couldn’t resist after that…love his gazes and soft smiles towards her…
Just seems that there are some cut scenes.

Now on to ep 34
The romance was in the background but at least one couple is solid now.
