I like that she is smart and outspoken, but I don't like that she takes advantage of people without caring about what happens to them. I am only on episode 4 so maybe I need to see more of her ability to handle issues. For now, all i see is a lot of childish wilful behavior from her, which I do understand stems a lot from how she was treated all her life.

Actually, multiple told poor HZ that even though it was an accident, they could not forgive him, including WJ and the other Inspectors. I can understand where SJR was coming from. It's hard to be with the person who killed the person closest to her.
Technically speaking, SJR has not turned WJ down yet. He has not confessed. She is single since HZ also backed out from confessing. So he still has a chance :D
Also, to quote from the drama "Queen In Hyun's Man", "just because there is a goalie, doesn't mean you cannot score" LOL...not sure if you have watched that drama but it is a 2012 one that was quite enjoyable...

Not knowing enough about Mu Yan, I ship Chilan and WY more. The show did hint at Chilan and MY feeling more than friendship but the storyline would move in a better direction for me if Chilan and WY becomes our second couple.

It was probably because all the witnesses told her it was HZ. I think she did trust him, and that's why she tried to look for other evidence. Everyone knew it was an accident but it didn't change the fact that HZ appeared to be the one who killed Lao Hu. SJR told him that even though she knew it was an accident, she could not forgive him.
Actually I think he did give her some of his Qi vitality stone powder. It was in the little bottle that WJ gave SJR's mother.
Yeah, I suspect that somehow HZ was able to convince SJR that it was someone else who killed Lao Hu to frame HZ. As for WJ, I think he is going to keep trying his best. After chatting with the Crown Prince and his Royal mother, he decided he should not give up so easily after liking the girl for so long. Even if he knows she does not like him back.

Keyuncha killed Boss Chen, and Han Zheng found him. Keyuncha was going to turn himself in but HZ refused and wanted to take him away. Lao Hu tried to stop him and HZ flung him aside before escaping with Keyuncha.
In the end, when the Qian army turned up, Keyuncha finally told HZ not to get implicated, and pushed him aside before killing himself. He also shouted that it was him alone who killed Boss Chen.
Then the FL turned up and asked HZ why he killed her godfather. She found Lao Hu lying dead and everyone thinks it's because he hit his head after being thrown aside by HZ.

Him being in jail because he allegedly killed Lau Hu when trying to help Keyuncha escape. SJR really wanted to find evidence that the killer was someone else but she couldn't. So heartache there...:(

Jiu Er - Even when she was so upset and suffered such a great loss, the FL still believed in the ML and wanted to find evidence to absolve him of the guilt. She still reacted rationally and communicated with him honestly. There was no silly misunderstanding there.

The two royal princes - Wen Jun and Wen Ning - their loyalty and commitment. We already knnow what a great guy Wen Jun is but now we know that the Crown Prince Wen Ning was also a devoted husband. I ship him with Chilan!

The different constables, Yue Da Ren and Commander Yan - they turned out to be decent after all when it comes to Lao Hu's death.

Lao Hu - the show finally showed that he was indeed in love with the FL's mother. I had really hoped that his death was a setup. I cannot believe that he is really gone and my favourite pairing is broken :(

Argh, it's 😭 😭 but I like how episode 23 was written revealing the different characters.

How is this drama so far? Is it super angsty like most Xianxia? Should I be prepared for an emotional roller coaster ride?

According to the most recent emoji poster - there is a broken heart in the next episode and a healed heart in the following one so I too really hope that the misunderstanding won't last.

I believe that he will become weaker. The Qi's vital stone is tied very closely to the person and that person draws strength for it. So without it, he will lose his strength over time.
