Rewatched this once it was on Netflix. Such a warm and beautiful drama. I love watching the main couple healing and helping each other learn to reach for happiness. The supporting characters also felt very real and brought so much life to the story.

Yeah, I was wondering about that - they can walk in and out like it is their OR and the other doctor just let them do whatever... It's harder for me since I come from a medical family. Usually I try not to judge medical dramas but many times the scenes make me laugh a lot :D

So true! The failure of their marriage was largely due to her having expectations that she can change the ML and make him love her. And now, like you said, she still expects him to conform to her thinking and wants. That's why she was so disappointed with his purchased marriage proposal. She was the childish one, in this case, insisting on getting her way. True, the stakes were high, but I felt this storyline was badly executed.

Perhaps but doctors are allowed and, in many cases compelled not to treat patients with whom they have conflicts or emotional ties. The Hippocratic Oath expects the doctors to be objective and in this scenario, objectivity is not a total possibility. Similar to lawyers and judges, in the eyes of the law, justice should be objective and those with possible conflicts of interest are required to recuse themselves.
I have to admit - I didn't like the side plot of the FL pressuring the ML to help his stepmother. It didn't feel right since she was completely disregarding his feelings and his emotional trauma.
I cheer even more for the FL each episode. I like how she is open with her feelings but at the same time showing the ML that she will do just as well without him. She’s bolder with her opinions too! My SLS decreases as Lawyer Xue’s clinginess increases. I admire his persistence but he should know by now that the FL is not interested. Jealous ML is looking pretty fine 😁
I’m catching up with ep 24 and I have to admit, I enjoyed seeing the ML miserable with his choice even though I felt bad for him. So glad that FL was honest but also stood her ground and maintained her dignity.
