Love their couple outfits - they look so cute together, especially YZ and his ponytail. Lee Wei is always adorable but she seemed to have a more matured demeanor these past episodes. What a wonderful journey this has been! So sad for it to end tomorrow! š„²

The show has done a great job so far portraying the female characters in a positive way whether or not they started off as grey. So, I was somewhat surprised by the introduction of this stereotypical scheming female. I understand her desire to get herself and her child out of their social class but using a child so unscrupulously is my bottom line.
Iām tired of Zhu Ying and Princess Lian. Theyāre both just such weak characters. I like how the emperor pointed out her lack of reason and her unfair blaming of him. Zhu Ying - heās just blahā¦ This two will probably pop up again but not so soon I hope
To echo the anti comment for Yezi. I donāt think thereās an English equivalent term for her type of character…
I love that description āruthless little empress in trainingā š I normally would prefer complex imperfect FLs too especially if they are smart but somehow Iām not won over by Ye Zi yet. Iāll get there š especially if the editing improves! I do like the interactions between the leads so I look forward to more scenes of them

Very true...she's quite manipulative from the get-go. It's too bad that the pacing and editing are not great, otherwise, we would have a better view of her transformation. Right now, instead of being impressed by her intelligence, I am annoyed by her actions. Here's hoping that the show will improve...
