One relationship progresses and the other ones regress
Sigh…I know it’s rare to have a drama that consistently delivers on a strong couple who inspires relationship goals but I had such high hopes for this show. Even if we should expect some angst , why oh why did they have to use the tropes that don’t seem to fit our couple’s characters 😠😤

I cannot believe that the director and screenwriter would do that to us!!!

One positive thing among the crappiness of eps 27 & 28 is that even ex-prime minister Ke Zheng , Ou Yangxu’s master didn’t buy his BS and sob story…👏👏

Maybe I was in a jaded mood when I watched the scene but despite all the yelling and crying, I didn't see the changing expressions on WXS' face during that scene. I should rewatch. At this point I am so bored of him and WR, that I tend to space out when they come on screen. From my initial impressions of LYN overacting as the villain, I now think he's doing a pretty good job as a raving lunatic with a creepy smile...

I thought the acting was rather weak in the scene between WXS and BCF - one was more like a whiny brat, and the other one too stony face.
Also, I agree - WR choosing to leave WXS is asinine - immature move on her part. In the end, it was still all about her. Still I am glad she is out of the picture for that episode. If I had to deal with whiny BCF and her,....

It sounds like instead of LC poisoning SMZ to make him go crazy, they used on the Chancellor poisoning BCF to make him go mad...

I havent watched all of ep 20 yet but I saw towards the end and the preview for the next ep. My guess is that Fah will help Saimai and that will be the end of the ex trope. Fingers crossed!
