Yeah, it’s typical of dramas - introduce a love rival even if it is one-sided. Qing Yao definitely caused me a lot of irritation in the beginning because I didn’t know if the show is going to throw in a plot twist and have Chang Yi repay her by being with her because she saved him. Luckily it looks like the show didn’t go that direction and CY is still as committed as ever to YH. I have a feeling that in the end, Qing Yao will try to harm YH so CY had to stop her.

If you are referring to her and her maid coming to the island and watching the house, it was more the maid complaining. Asking the fox princess why she should come and watch Yun He when it was so cold outside. Especially when YH ruined the enthronement ceremony. What life and death?! it’s more excuses and the Lord must be bewitched by her. CY promised the Princess that he would be responsible but in the end he moved in with YH. That’s so unreasonable.

Then the fox princess responded that it was true that JH almost died during the ceremony. The Lord (CY) must have his own plans so let’s wait and see….

I agree with @Birdlady that she is jealous and is watching CY closely to see what he will do with JH

He is good! Without Luo Luo around, he is serious, solemn, focused on the cause and is CY's very skilled right hand man. Then when Luo luo is around, he gets all fumbly and stutters, and goes all weak...Haha! I think he is very good with his facial expressions - I don't get a sense of over-acting from him

She will die shortly after Lin Hao Qing arrives in Bei Yuan (the North). She will do one last thing to help CY, and then she dies. However, LHQ kept her core and brought her back to life. So she will get reincarnated as herself but with no memories of the past.

As a nine-tailed fox, she is capable of transformation and Aji is one of her transformed self. Aji is a young boy, in the show, she might be a girl instead.

Despite being told not to go to the North, Aji ends up there and meets CY. Since CY feels a strong presence of JYH around Aji, he keeps a close eye on him, and slowly as Aji is forced to reveal his nine-tailed fox power more, he starts showing more of his true form, which is JYH. Over time, JYH starts to regain her memories. So CY and her start to finally acknowledge their love for each other. At this time, despite being in love, JYH never tells CY the truth, and he is also willing to let go of the past.

It is only in the end when Shunde tells him everything, that CY realises how much JYH has sacrified for him.

The above is a very summarized version of the novel :D

It is for two reasons:
1) She is going to die so she wants to be able to travel, and see the places she has never been to in her last few days
2) She thinks CY hates her, and only wants to keep her for revenge. That is not the kind of "being together" that she was talking about when she said she was willing to go anywhere with her beloved

Also, in the drama, Dong Hai (East Sea), was banned by Shunde, so Chang Yi cannot go back there if he wants to avoid being captured. I think even without his tail, he can go back to rule his people and regain his tail. This is based on the conversation with his father who said the future of the merman (translated as shark) people is now in CY's hands.

True, it was not a passionate kiss but the way he pulled her in, surprising her, and then with the music and lighting, the scene delivered the mood, or at least the mood was right to me.
Much better than seeing two birds kissing (anyone who watch The Long Ballad would understand) 😂

I agree...For YH to wake up and see CY all worried would have been even better...She's kind of oblivious to him actually loving her. He's dropping hints left and right, and she just thinks that he only wants revenge 😭

I know, right?! Also as I watched the episodes, I'm waiting to see if they will follow the novel. Knowing what happened in the novel is also building up the anticipation even more...

Yes, and he was always the one sitting with her and making sure that she ate and took her medicine. He was so in tune with her and her surroundings that he’s always there protecting her!

BTW, I am a hardcore Dilraba's fan in the sense that I will watch and support all her shows. I 'm not so good with the social media following like Twitter posts etc so that's when I rely on everyone else's postings to keep up :D
