Me too! I have bought the same earrings worn by some of the actresses in K Dramas and would totally buy what Yun He was wearing. I like her ear crawler piece when she was putting medication on Chang Yi’s tail (while he was still hung against the wall). I thought that suited her character well. Her other pieces were lovely too like the pearl ones.

When the people of East Ocean/Sea (Dong Hai) heard that Shunde captured and tortured Chang Yi, they rose in battle and the Merman or Shark King went ashore to fight. In that battle, he hurt the disciples of the Grand Master, Shunde’s Master or Ning Qing. That gave Shunde the excuse to kill the King. Chang Yi indirectly blamed Yun He because it was because of her that he stayed ashore, cut his tail and was even willing to go to Shunde. If it was not for her, he would have gone back to Dong Hai, the East Sea and not cause all the trouble for his people and lost his father.

Sure! So in Season 1, we know that all the spiritual masters including Lin Can Lang the head of Wan Hua Valley (also Hao Qing’s father) suffer from the frost poison. That frost poison was forced upon them by the Grand Master (Princess Shunde’s master).
To find an antidote for the poison, Lin Can Lang and Qing Shu, the fox aunt have been experimenting on many spiritual masters, trying to combine the powers of a spiritual master and a demon to create this hybrid being that can overcome the poison. No one survived the experiments except for Yun He (Dilraba). That’s why there is that very cold area that Yun He brought San Yue and Li Shu to see. That’s where all the dead spiritual masters were left at the bottom of the cliff.
Since Yun He was the only one who could survive the experiments, Lin Chang Lan and Qing Shu have been using her for many years, transferring their own powers so that she will finally possess the souls/cores of a spirit master and a demon/spirit animal.
They died before seeing their efforts succeed. But Yun He does transform into this awesome nine-tailed red spirit fox! She was able to overcome the frost poison but the two souls fusing into one is harmful to her body ultimately and all the torture that Shunde put her through has also done so much damage that her weakened body will not be able to last for long.
In episode 24, the fox princess said that at the end of it all, her aunt did it for her love for Lin Can Lang which was a total waste since Lin Can Lang did not care or love her aunt at all.

I think the director/editor thought it was a good place to edit out since the audience should know by Season 2 why and how Qing Shu, the aunt gave Yun He the red powers of her fox spirit. As an audience, I prefer a script that does not explain everything in great detail or have too many flashbacks so I think they did ok here 😀

If you think Luo Luo and Kong Ming are cute now, the subs will make you laugh. It gets funnier in Season 2 when others join in teasing Kong Ming 😂

I have not watched A River Runs Through It but I do like Wang Rui Chang so I think the chemistry between them must have been amazing. You're right though - HYX is one who can bring out the best in her partner, and this current Kong Ming and her make a really cute pair in their antics
