I wonder what role Mi Rae's colleague will play in the coming episodes - the one who asked how she was doing at the bus stop and then offering to help her set up for the meeting.
PBY was simply excellent in these past episodes, and episode 4, I sympathized the most with Mi Ji, somehow it feels like Mi-rae wronged her in some way in the past. There’s clearly more to unpack there.
With Ho Su, I want to keep seeing a flicker of recognition or a gut instinct from him. It’s driving me crazy (in a good way). I really hope that by the middle of this show, Ho Su will know that it is Mi Ji with whom he's been all this time.
As for Se Jin... the guy seriously needs to get her name right before I can even ship them. They haven't given me the couple vibes yet...even though I know they are probably the endgame for each other.
I don't think ZH should have revealed himself as Kuai Dou's son so quickly even if it felt like he was cornered...If it were me, I would have kept Cao and his gang guessing just out of spite 😂
1) When the queen demanded ZH to make a choice, but he flipped it on her instead. That scene leaves us hanging, wondering how the story will end. Will ZH carry out his plan to the bitter end, even at the cost of his own life? Or will he finally choose a more hopeful path and put his own happiness first?
2) When ZH understood the true purpose behind his father’s actions with the Gui seal, Kuai Dou stayed loyal but preserved his deeper sense of righteousness.
Also,I thoroughly enjoyed Wallace Chung’s appearance in this show. The man is ageless and always brings that extra presence to the screen. He just has it.
ZZX did not kill his father. The Marquis killed himself by holding ZZX's sword and directing it at himself. He…
Yeah, I do feel that the plot and character portrayal have been inconsistent, but like you said, there is still time to pull everything together, hopefully in a way that ties up all the loose ends in a sensible way.
Thats my thought too. First he trust the masked man then his Master then what ZLY told ZZX (not sure who is telling…
He does not have to blame ZH but there should at least be some sort of internal struggle, some awkwardness towards ZH who after all influenced him to cause the downfall of his family.
The way they parted was way too clean and friendly. Feels too neatly wrapped up.
For now he left no option other than depending on them atleast the whole mystery is resolved. So I guess drama…
Yes, and now he’s no longer a powerless pawn, so I want to see him less passive even with the people he trusts. Now that he can make his own choices, the show should let us see him wrestle with those decisions.
And you're absolutely right—the themes of choice versus fate have been simmering throughout the show, so it would be deeply satisfying to see ZH actively choose his path, not just go along with his masters' and savior's plan. That internal struggle, especially if it pulls in his past actions and feelings (like what happened with ZZX), could really elevate the final arc.
Fingers crossed for an ultimate plot twist that is not disappointing.

Oh no, please not that kind of ending please - where the ML drops everything to go wandering with the FL. While maybe romantic in theory, it often feels like lazy writing when it comes at the cost of character development. Especially for someone like ZH, who clawed his way up through pain and planning. Giving it all up just feels… hollow but I guess one can justify it by saying he has nothing else to do once he's gotten revenge. And for the FL to simply follow along? That’s just sad.
The biggest letdown is how the romance could have worked. If written well, it could have been a slow-burn bond between two equals with secrets, challenging each other and growing with each other. Instead, we’re watching a romance that flattens both leads. She loses her agency, and he loses his edge.
You're right - ZZX's situation is far messier and more twisted. His story has the kind of complexity that deserves more than a sanitized break. It's only right that ZH should feel somewhat remorseful for turning a carefree young man into someone who caused the death of his entire family.
Honestly, if ZZX ends up being the final wildcard, that would be the best plot twist ending.
Thats my thought too. First he trust the masked man then his Master then what ZLY told ZZX (not sure who is telling…
Absolutely agree with you—ZZX’s exit felt a little too clean. For a character who had so much emotional and strategic weight earlier on, to just walk away, feels off. It almost feels like narrative convenience. I’m holding out hope that he’ll re-emerge with his own agenda—possibly even at odds with ZH’s—because that would be more in line with the layered storytelling we saw earlier.
As for ZH, yes! You expressed my sentiments so well. The shift in his focus from calculated revenge to this focus on the seal, with little to no inner conflict shown, is odd to me. It’s not just a missed opportunity for character depth—it undermines his intelligence that we were shown. Like, where’s the internal push-pull when it comes to the people around him?
And the FL… sigh. It’s frustrating to see her reduced to someone who only exists in relation to ZH. She started out strong, smart with her own motivations, and now it feels like she's been dumbed down just to fit the romance. She’s not even getting meaningful growth at this point.

LOL—that video edit was hilarious and so well done! 😆
I’m definitely a Marquis fan, especially because the actor brought so much depth and nuance to the character. I agree—it feels like many of the characters have more layers that haven’t been fully revealed.
I also appreciated that they kept ZH human rather than turning him into a revenge-driven machine. His unhappiness over the Marquis’s death felt more grounded and emotionally resonant—honestly, I thought it was handled better than ZZX’s reaction in the end.
As for Eunuch Cao—he absolutely deserves the most terrible punishment. They didn’t spend much time on his backstory, but instead kept stacking up his desperation to cling to power. It makes sense in hindsight why the actor playing the Marquis was given a main role, while the eunuch remained more of a background villain.
I think he understands that. He knows everyone is looking for the seal. So the only way out of the situation for…
That would be a good plot direction - that he is playing the long game fully aware of the potential danger around him and in the end, he gets away with fooling everyone and coming out on top. Let's see!
Thats my thought too. First he trust the masked man then his Master then what ZLY told ZZX (not sure who is telling…
Same here! I actually wanted the Marquis to survive even though his deeds are just not forgivable.
Lol - the Darth Vader moment would have been a great twist…but we know there is a connection. His benefactor is the most suspicious - everyone’s just accepting this man behind a mask???

Right? Way too friendly to ZH after everything that went down. I really hope what you said will come true, that he will show up again and this time seeking revenge, since ZH also eliminated his entire family (evil cackle)
He was only 10yrs old or something when rescued by him. Lost everything, saw everything that happened, can only…
Again, I’m talking about present ZH who is no longer dependent only on his masters and masked savior. I’m not saying he should turn against them but instead at least have the awareness that they also might have their own agenda. That is not taking away from him being human. Like I mentioned, skepticism is also part of human nature. Ultimately it’s just different preferences of how the character is written 🙂

Antu finally showing off those skills again. Took out one Lu sibling, shame the other two survived.
ZH getting betrayed by someone he thought he could trust — maybe now he’ll be more careful.
I was hoping Cao got a fake seal, but it looks like the real one since the Queen asked ZH to retrieve it. Still, fingers crossed for one last twist.
Ah, you’re probably right. Different speculations about who the 3rd villain is - I’m just waiting to see the story unfold :)
