Wonderfully detailed review, thanks for sharing! It will be some time before I finish the series, really taking my sweet time on this but I'm really intrigued with that happens later on.
Agree. She's multi-talented in so many disciplines, particularly in dancing due to her ballet training (where…
I feel you. Don't worry, there are still 30 episodes to go and from what I've read (not the iQiyi synopsis above which has less spoilers) and the trailers that I've seen, things will get serious. As for the action, well, guess we'll just have to wait and see. If it doesn't improve by then, guess we can start ranting lol For me though, I'm just hoping for a positive outcome this time for the OTP instead of tragedy.
How is nobody talking about how their balconies are next to each other but they live apart the corridor
We discussed this so much 2 weeks ago that we ended up going through the rabbit hole. The theories proposed included architectural drawings and structural engineering plans. At the end of all that, still no conclusion lol

Once again I concur. The actors can only work with what's given to them, much depends on what the screenwriters can create. Although this drama is an adaptation of a novel (which I haven't read), the script determines the underlying tone of the show. 2 episodes in, it does feel very light hearted but, as often happens in C-drama historicals, things change very quickly so don't trust the initial fluffiness. Let's see how it progresses :) *fingers crossed*
I can already see a bright future for the actress who plays the sister Fu Xuan ( Kiki Xu). She looks gorgeous…
Agree. She's multi-talented in so many disciplines, particularly in dancing due to her ballet training (where she performed a dance in Legend of Yun Xi) and she raps as well. Both her and JJY are idols but their acting is fantastic, unlike most other idols. The future does indeed look bright for the both of them. For this drama's OST, Kiki sings one track while JJY has 3 songs.
Thank you for reading :)You're right, Wu Tong is a complex character and deserves more screen time to help us…
LOL You're right, in retrospect I probably should've written more about MSX. He deserved much more than what he got in the end, poor guy. That spin-off should totally include all 3 of them - HC, MSX and WT.
The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion and Jiu Liu Overlord are starting this week. You got off at the right time lol
I'm watching Journey Across very slowly on the YT channel, it's a very slowburn-paced drama but I find it nostalgic because there are HK actors, it's based in HK and I hear some cantonese as well so it really gives me a TVB feel lol. So far it's really intriguing and there's some supernatural elements in the plot. Hmmm, I think I'l delay Miss S first, I'm more excited about Black Lighthouse anyway.

I read your review on Evil Minds, it looks really interesting, I'll add it to my list. I'm watching a similarly themed psychological mystery thriller atm, The Journey Across The Night - it's set in your neighbourhood, HK. Miss S I haven't started but it just popped up on HBO Asia. It's that bad huh? Was just thinking about seeing Vengo Gao in action lol

I forgot to mention, since I'm supposed to give you a heads up if I came across any interesting detective-type dramas. The Black Lighthouse is starting today on Mango TV. Saw the trailer and looks pretty intriguing. C-Dramas don't produce many legal dramas and this one appears to have investigations into different cases, which is right up our alley.
Very typical of C-Dramas to portray the FL as such... especially for period dramas. Recent exception I can only…
The last time I was in SG was to celebrate Christmas last year, and HK was 2 years ago. Yup, it's quite sad and scary looking at the stats now. My state is pretty safe for the time being... I'm surrounded by a ring of fire here and Sabah is just next door :( Safer not to travel and just stay home watching dramas.

Ada banyak lagi, sis.
There's Mango TV, Netflix, Youku, Duboku, Viu, Dimsum.....
XD
I can't believe what a month October is, so many great shows to watch, I'm really drowning lol

The VEP sticker is valid for 5 years I think so there's still some time left to utilise it.
