I can already see a bright future for the actress who plays the sister Fu Xuan ( Kiki Xu). She looks gorgeous…
Agree. She's multi-talented in so many disciplines, particularly in dancing due to her ballet training (where she performed a dance in Legend of Yun Xi) and she raps as well.
Both her and JJY are idols but their acting is fantastic, unlike most other idols. The future does indeed look bright for the both of them.
For this drama's OST, Kiki sings one track while JJY has 3 songs.

Thank you for reading :)You're right, Wu Tong is a complex character and deserves more screen time to help us…
LOL
You're right, in retrospect I probably should've written more about MSX. He deserved much more than what he got in the end, poor guy. That spin-off should totally include all 3 of them - HC, MSX and WT.

The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion and Jiu Liu Overlord are starting this week. You got off at the right time lol
I'm watching Journey Across very slowly on the YT channel, it's a very slowburn-paced drama but I find it nostalgic because there are HK actors, it's based in HK and I hear some cantonese as well so it really gives me a TVB feel lol. So far it's really intriguing and there's some supernatural elements in the plot.
Hmmm, I think I'l delay Miss S first, I'm more excited about Black Lighthouse anyway.

I read your review on Evil Minds, it looks really interesting, I'll add it to my list. I'm watching a similarly themed psychological mystery thriller atm, The Journey Across The Night - it's set in your neighbourhood, HK. Miss S I haven't started but it just popped up on HBO Asia. It's that bad huh? Was just thinking about seeing Vengo Gao in action lol

I forgot to mention, since I'm supposed to give you a heads up if I came across any interesting detective-type dramas.
The Black Lighthouse is starting today on Mango TV. Saw the trailer and looks pretty intriguing. C-Dramas don't produce many legal dramas and this one appears to have investigations into different cases, which is right up our alley.

Very typical of C-Dramas to portray the FL as such... especially for period dramas. Recent exception I can only…
You guys stay safe too, and keep commenting on MDL discussion boards so we can keep tabs on each other's wellbeing :)

The VEP sticker is valid for 5 years I think so there's still some time left to utilise it.

The last time I was in SG was to celebrate Christmas last year, and HK was 2 years ago.
Yup, it's quite sad and scary looking at the stats now. My state is pretty safe for the time being... I'm surrounded by a ring of fire here and Sabah is just next door :(
Safer not to travel and just stay home watching dramas.

This is the kind of story line and character that I find really appealing. Hope the show turns out great.

Thank you for reading :)
You're right, Wu Tong is a complex character and deserves more screen time to help us understand his background and circumstances more. He probably needs a spin-off series to do his story justice.

Ok referencing Zhao Yao, Shen Lige, Chu Qiao and Fuyao kind of gives me some hope. I've been stuck wondering if…
Disclaimer though - I only referenced them in terms of the chills I got for that scene. On the whole, the FL does mature and get better in the second half, once she goes into the palace.
