Yes, it's the region thing. Although we're neighbours, somehow the licensing rights differ. Not sure why that is the case, probably due to commercial reasons. Well, as long as it's available on at least one of those 2 platforms, I guess I could live with that :)

ZLH has a "kinder" and more "baby" face while Lai Yi has "fiercer" features but both have pretty similar facial structure. The way the ML and SML are written, I think both actors suit their respective roles, so far. I wouldn't exchange their roles and prefer it this way but hopefully both actors do get better as the show progresses.

I read that this drama is a loose adaptation (how loose or faithful, I have no idea) of the novel by Qi Zi which has 64 chapters. So 64 chapters adapted to 36 episodes of drama. The pacing of reading the story and watching it unfold in a series would be quite different, I imagine. Food for thought...

Hmmm... I would like to see some form of punishment on the princess but she doesn't have to die. WY shouldn't die either, at least not for the princess. It's not fair that after all the sufferings and injustice on others that nothing happens to her. And seeing them happy after the forced marriage doesn't make it ok, for me. To answer your question... - There are 3 secondary couples and they all get together by eps 28 (some even earlier. All are "exploding attraction" but "slow burn acceptance" and so far, 1 couple has full-blown romance, 1 couple has quiet romance, and 1 couple with no romance at all (yet, maybe, who knows) - There's no Second Female Lead that I'm aware of (unless you're talking about the Princess, who isn't the SFL but in any case she doesn't get together with the ML) - Yes, there is a love triangle but it doesn't last very long. I feel the same, tbh. The entire tone and genre have changed from romantic comedy to slice of life and melodrama. If this is how it's meant to be either in the novel or screenplay adaptation or both, then it's my own fault for having the wrong expectations coming into this. If it isn't, then it's probably the pacing/ editing/ episode cuts or whatever.
Anyway, just how I personally feel as a viewer and not criticizing anybody or advising how people should think or feel - everyone is entitled to their own opinions, fair enough.
