True, good point. I just feel that perhaps someone like Zhang Xueying would've been a better fit for this role. Especially with the storyline spanning several decades. And her acting range is far superior. Anyway, just my personal bias.

Yes, I understand what you mean and I agree. I think we can put that down to experience because that was the FL's first drama role and they made her a lead. She's an idol but I don't want to stereotype idols because some of them can really act. The biggest problem I had was that the trope concerning a certain geometric angle (you know what I mean lol) dragged on far too long and ended up overshadowing what would've been a really interesting investigative plot.

Yes, agree that was a cringe-worthy moment. The guy was trying to be funny and cheeky but the joke was really inappropriate and distasteful.

You're right about Miss Truth, which was a bit frustrating because that show had so much potential yet I personally felt it was undermined by the plot. Thankfully, this show hasn't found itself in that same predicament.

L&R is pretty special. Some might say it's the all-time best in this genre and in comparison to its peers.
Just to give a perspective, AOL, EL, and L&D ranged between 2K - 4K comments, well short of 7K comments!
For TPoC, the genre is different and in any case, it's still airing. Based on the current rate (and ignoring unknown variables), this show will probably end up with less than 3K comments by the time it airs its final episode.
