I feel that way too, especially after reading the 2nd last sentence of the synopsis. Stuff like that never ends well, whether fictional or otherwise lol

Yup, mainly for the romance with some mystery thrown in. It's more lighthearted in comparison. All episodes just came out so you can binge over the weekend. Btw, it has a happy ending just like L&R.

It's midnight where I am, so you must be close by lol Only watched ep 1 to get a feel for the show. I'll probably watch a few more before deciding whether or not to continue. Yup, L&R romance is great, and in Maiden Holmes too currently, The steamiest kissing scenes in historicals this year belong to those 2 dramas right there :D

Initial impression after 1st episode - Big budget and high production values, great cinematography, the colour grading gives off a cinematic feel, martial arts choreography is ok so far, 80% of the main cast from L&R plus some veterans from NIF and Under the Power.
Of course we gotta talk about Cheng Yi/ Si Feng. His character is more lively here (witty and somewhat mischievous). Still trying to get to grips with Mdm Dongfang as the FL.
Looks serious, heavy and intense, like the synopsis suggests.
