I miss Lucy Liu in Elementary too, thought it was a fantastic series. The Japanese version, Miss Sherlock is not…
The BBC version I felt was overhyped and too sensational. I'm a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch, though he was a tad too glamorous lol I prefer Jonny Lee Miller's more neurotic version of Holmes :D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4S8cc0A0U0The guys from "Love and Redemption" really laugh out loud on the set.
That's actually nice to see, everybody laughing and in good health lol The actor playing Yuan Lang looks in character most of the time, like method acting. Everyone else is having fun :D
Oh that's cool, though I only watched more than half of Chef Fang - just wished that someone like the ML here…
I dropped Sleepless Princess, just couldn't get into it lol Ah yes, Tan Song Yun...I'm actually not her biggest fan but I like the dramas that she's in like Under The Power. Ok, will give Romance of Tiger and Rose a try next!

Romance of Tiger and Rose not yet, but it's already on my list. I'm halfway through The Eight but lost momentum because I was busy playing catch up with LAR lol Go Ahead...hmmm. I'm not really a fan of slice of life dramas and generally for C-dramas, I prefer historical/ costume rather than modern unless it has a really good cast and thrilling plot. I have tonnes of shows on my PTW but I realise that watching older dramas can be a lonely experience because there are no more exciting discussions in the comments board to accompany the journey :D
Thank you for the very insightful and educational article. I really learned a lot from it :) I seem to recall a K-drama a few years back, Phantom which is about criminal investigations involving a police cyber crime unit. Although I'm not well versed in computer science and the related technical aspects, I really enjoyed using technology as a central theme rather than just a convenient plot device. Anyway, looking forward to more articles from you in the future :D

I'm planning for contingencies now, as LAR is finishing soon and Maiden Holmes is currently airing so will need to binge on a completed drama. Usually I need 1 serious drama and a few lighter fillers, preferably not all are on air currently because waiting for episodes is painful lol
No as I said before it really doesn't help much at all, it takes me just as much time because I have to re read…
Thanks so much for your hard work, Alice. Do get enough rest too, we need you to be healthy and well :)
Btw, just something interesting that I noted back in episode 20+ (can't really recall which ep), where the cakes being served were translated as "kuih". I actually thought the subber knew Hokkien dialect lol
But it's all good and truly appreciate the great work by you and your team!
Currently on ep10, so far so good. Liked the idea of female Holms, makes me miss Lucy Liu in Elementary. The ML…
I miss Lucy Liu in Elementary too, thought it was a fantastic series. The Japanese version, Miss Sherlock is not bad as well. These women did a great job in portraying complex and multi-dimensional characters.
Yes! Ever since he appeared, the entire mood changed and actually became more relaxed and hilarious. It's nice to have a break from the stress. Teng She is the coolest character on the show :)
Interesting idea having all these side series, but each's ending is painful - Si Feng dies every time in Xuan…
Oh yes, I'm looking forward to Ruyi Pavilion. I watched Legend of Yun Xi last month, really impressed with Zhang Zhe Han. I'm a fan of JJY after In A Class of Her Own. Thanks for recommending Qing Luo, sounds interesting. I'll watch that once I stop being mad at HC/Liu Xue Yi :D
Absolutely spot on. Playing a villain well is not an easy task, and even when it's done properly, viewers hate their guts for it lol You're right, HC is a complex character, certainly the most complex in this show. Makes me want to explore more of this actor's previous works now.

I thought you finished up to the latest already? hehe

Thanks for the clip!
