Talk about steamy kisses. True that! I had to applaud at how good it was. LOL.
I hope from now on there's no more of just the touching lips act in historical dramas. We want all aspects of acting to be authentic, and that includes steamy kisses!
I've just finished ep 17 and had to stop myself from watching 18 since that's the most recent episode available.…
Wonderful recap, couldn't agree more. In a way, it's good that this show isn't overhyped and gains fans based on its own merits. It does the simple things well and hope it sticks the ending well too, that's all we can wish for at this point.
Hopefully based on 9 lifetime they can produce 9 series which star by cheng yi and crystal..Can they make the…
Lol. The flashback scenes actually reminded me of my own past series that I've watched, personal tribulations XD I think 36 ep per tribulation is ok haha With added steamy kiss scenes :O
Each of the past tribulation could be made into very interesting series on its own. The Dancer and the Musician, the Empress and the Prince, the Sorcerer and the Witch, the Warrior and the Assassin, the Taoist Exorcist, the Ming Constable. Looks very interesting and totally different feels (more historical than xianxia).
Well, she plays a princess who is married off to the Emperor as part of a peace offering. In the show, she comes across as intelligent and cunning. Her character is considered the secondary female lead.
I'm quite traumatized by LAR, non-stop pains continue (in LAR) ....
Lol cheer up! I keep telling myself no more sad and painful dramas yet keep getting drawn to them. That's why my stats show that majority of my dramas are tagged sad ending and death lol
Yuan Bingyan did great, but, Cheng Yi is a wall here. To be honest, I don't like the way she portrayed sad emotional…
Yup, I've only watched up to episode 15 hence my 2 cents is up to that stage only :)
But even at this stage, I'm already mightily impressed with the actor.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's better with a mask on. What I'm saying is even with a mask on, he's already killed it, what more to say when he removes it!

It actually says a lot when an actor who's wearing a mask most of the time is so much more outstanding compared to those who aren't having half their faces covered. It's the whole package. Props too to the voice dubber (not sure if it's his own voice or someone else's but that makes a whole lot of difference as well).
I'm taking your advice in watching LAR slowly, like I'm savouring it for pure enjoyment but at the same time bracing…
Lol thanks in advance! Will look you up when I run into trouble :) Even though I understand Mandarin, it's the technical Xianxia/ Taoism concepts that require a more thorough understanding to better appreciate the entire storyline.

And without Cheng Yi vomiting blood for a change.
Just reached episode 21 :D
