As much as I admire her qualities as probably the most humane character in the drama, I hope Yu'er gains much…
I understand. It's impossible for her to change her nature - that's her superpower indeed. But life experience wise, and seeing how QYZ and her trusted aide YX got into trouble (and nearly losing their lives) at the expense of helping her, surely must at least raise some awareness in her.
I don't want her to be a ruthless schemer but I don't think she should be depicted as clueless forever π
It might be QY who sent her out, but it was all her "expecting" QYZ to come to her aid. Were it not for Prince Guang, she'd be really dead by now.

Yes, I agree. Which was why I said Team Avengers (of this show lol) need to really work together and do better. Tbh, QZL doesn't need to worry about his enemies because they are sabotaging themselves before they even manage to inflict any damage on him π I suppose this is kind of what makes the drama fun with all the plot twists. But I really want to see Yu'er be wiser, though she'll never be as clever as QYZ. As for Qi Yan, I really do pity him because he must be so shocked at Yu'er's suspected identity π

So many question marks indeed. Without concrete facts, it's hard to imagine Qi Yan would take unmitigated risks especially on someone as important to him as Yu'er. In any case, it turned out to be an unnecessary move too which caused everyone much troubles as a result. Yikes! It felt somewhat disheartening to see her just casually remark to QYZ that she would help her because they're friends etc. I mean, have some sense and ownership, girl! π
As much as I admire her qualities as probably the most humane character in the drama, I hope Yu'er gains much wisdom and awareness after the latest events. She's been mostly lucky so far with the help of so many people to survive the ordeals in the hands of QZL. But it comes with significant cost and risk to those who lend a helping hand because it undermines their own efforts in the grand scheme of things.
She shouldn't have needed to be a decoy that ended up being caught. The military token had been safely smuggled out to Li Deyun. Anyway, the good guys need to plan better and coordinate their efforts. All of them!
they aren't really rushing it so much as all the platforms fast track their dramas these days, because they are…
Haha, you're always a great source of content π I recall We Are All Alone, which I haven't watched either. I remember watching her in The Eight, after Story of Yanxi Palace. She's awesome, I'll need to catch up with her shows!

Rational Life is available on Netflix for me, I've heard lots of good reviews and I love Qin Lan. I think there's noona romance in it too. I haven't seen it yet. Remembrance of Things Past has great reviews too so I might give that a try when there's space on my list. At the moment, I'm watching too many airing dramas already lol

That really makes sense because I did notice a huge amount of content focused on variety shows in its line-up. The dramas on its platform are no joke either, I've got my eye on quite a number.
Bilibili is great for donghua content and I'm currently watching one of their co-productions, Couple of Mirrors. It's nice for us viewers to have more choices ^^

I didn't realise Mango is the only platform that's not in the red lol But I guess it makes sense in that they don't seem to be spending money on creating a separate platform for international viewers like what WeTV (tencent) and iQiyi are doing. Instead, they utilise YouTube as a platform, like Youku, for international viewers π€
The Dream of Chang'an / Stand by Me should have another alternative title - Mr and Mrs Qi Yan. Ep. 32, 7:24 - this scene made me laugh so hard π
This drama never ceases to amaze. I've given up trying to predict anything. Whether it's the 3rd party or 4th or 5th, it's quickly becoming a ball! Let the party begin! π₯°

Yes, totally agree. And one mystery solved, more to go!
