Tho Takara did tell Taishin where he went to school. Its a bit creepy to go to the same college hoping to meet again but that is also a very romantic gesture. If Taishin kept pursuing and kept being rejected, that would definitely be a stalker problem. But we can see that Takara after the first slight rejection is not feeling that way once he remembered Taishin and realizes he's an adult. Even with the first rejection when his arm was grabbed, he didn't pull it away but let it be held as he
listened to Taishin.

Watch the movie if you want a general idea of the story. The series should flesh out the storyline and characters much better due to the additional time but we don't know exactly where the series ends in the manga timeline so I'm only guessing.

Why do casting directors insist on hiring inexperienced 20 year old actors for characters that should be aged in their late 20s at the youngest?

I expect that channel paid the most to air the series and/or is sponsoring it and since Thai money is most important for Thai series, BOC went for it.

Yea, international fans are important but for Thai BLs, the actors and companies really make a lot from Thai fans/events/brands/etc if a CP or seeies becomes popular. So that could've really played a part. I doubt BOC picked VIU with the intent of screwing over international fans. There must be a financial benefit too.

I can kind of understand you in regards to more substantial teasers for 4 Minutes. This is not a top secret project but oh well. When has BOC ever did anything the way other BL production houses do it?

I did think the short showed chemistry between the two. Both it and the MV are popular and have been well received so I think fans will embrace 4 Minutes.

The thing is, due to looks, height, his reserved shy personality or a combination of all 3, Bible was turned down by many agencies before BOC signed him. Im sure he feels a large amount of loyalty thry took a chance on him.

I guess well know more when the official trailer comes out.

That short was NOT related to 4 Minutes. It was an extended version of a MV they both acted in and is not the story for 4 Minutes so can't understand why you'd be disappointed. Acting work is acting work.

The 4 Minutes trailer will be released early next month with the series to start airing late next month.
Im a fan of official trailers coming out closer to when a series airs verses months before.

I dont see how this got enough views on Youtube or Weibo for the Chinese production company to want to spend more money making a season 2. Any buzz fizzled out quite quickly and it didn't attract many (any?) Thai viewers. Though Builds company helped pay to make the mini-series so if they pay towards another season, it may still be made.

Its not technically a BL in that for a BL romance is the main focus of the story and we can tell thats not happening here where horror is the prominent theme. But I'm still hoping we see Jeff and Barcode kiss because its about damn time!

Heck he kisses girls that way too on camera. He's either has a hang up about kissing scenes or has no real life experience with kissing so thinks thats the way its done.

But he's getting better with time.

The pilot teaser for this series comes out 6/15 so I think Happy Ending will be released this year.

I assume Viu paid the most to air the series. It strikes me that its also because they (BOC and/or sponsors) want the series to do well with Thai viewers so is making it easier for their intended audience to watch. Jes already has a built in fan base used to seeing him on mainstream Thai tv channels so they might want to take advantage of that too.

While international viewers can all scream as much as they want, Thai CPs popular in Thailand can make a lot of money from brand endorsements, etc, so thats the most important audience to producers.

I know that. The question was if it (the seeies)was released in China. No, it would've never passed censorship plus all adaptations of BL novels like Winner is King, Immortality, etc that have been filmed are shelved due to most current laws.

Its because the producers didn't apply for a license to be aired in China. If they had, this series would've never been aired as shown. Probably not aired at all being its based on a BL novel. So thats why the series aired international ly. Sadly, production does make enough money if projects dont air in China so thats why most apply to air in China.

Did she sell the rights to the story knowing this? There are situations where rights are sold and then significant changes made but at that point, the author has no recourse but to accept it because of the contract signed. Plus, its probably better for her career to publicly support whatever the producers do to the project even if personally they would prefer the source material be followed more closely.

I doubt there will be anything original about this series.

I am under the impression, especially for JBLs, more kisses equals paying the actors more. I would rather get one hot kiss than 10 dead fish ones.

But yes, I think the actors are directed to do those dry, pressed lip kisses if they kiss at all. Funny thing is when you see a Japenese actor do a no kiss BL and then do a movie where he kisses a guy a lot!

Don't you have another fan meet or fan appreciation event to attend? So kind of your guy to let you pay to see him in person (other than at the airport) cuz noone wants to hire him to do live brand appearances or events where fans can attend for free or at least show up to see their fave.

But you do get to look forward to the 32 minute miniseries his company had to help pay to get made. Its been weeks since the finished product was shown to some fans (who also had to pay) so sure doesn't seem like
international platforms are jumping at the opportunity
to pay for airing rights.
