The first episode was.....okay. I guess. I like Ohm and Fluke together, but Ohm's character was an asshole and I know Fluke cries very prettily but ffs can he be given a role where he's got some agency? Please? He's a good actor but he's getting typecast. The second episode.....yeah. That was. Weird. Disturbing. Confusing. Borderline bestiality. Kudos to Ja and First for doing the best with what they were given, though. I really want to see Jimmy & Tommy and Kim & Copter's episodes but if it keeps going this way I don't think I dare.

I've avoided watching this because people are so negative about it. And now that I have sat and down and watched it, I can see why. Win and Bright are two very attractive young men, but you need more than attractiveness to make a couple work. They have zero chemistry. None. Zilch. And before anyone @'s me about skinship or kissing or whatever....it's not about that. Krist and Singto barely kissed in SOTUS and SOTUS S but they had *chemistry*. I think if Win had been paired with someone other than Bright, it would've been better overall. I got the impression that Win was doing his best but that Bright was feeling very uncomfortable. If you're uncomfortable doing BL, then don't accept roles in BL.

I think I'll wait til the end of July. I'm already waiting for a week in between o eps of two other shows I'm watching - I don't have the patience to add another to my list.

Shi De may have actually tried to tell Shu Yi about his mum and having to stay and help with his half-brother because we know now he sent a lot of emails that didn't get through. And some of those emails had attachments that could have been pictures. So some of their problems are definitely related to miscommunication, but that miscommunication was helped along by whoever stopped those emails getting through (that person being Shu Yi's Dad is an assumption both Shu Yi and Shi De have made and that's probably it, but we don't know that for sure yet.)

Oh, hey, no, long posts are great. I understand better where you're coming from because you've laid everything out very neatly and concisely. Thank you for being polite about it too. I get slightly anxious about posting sometimes because I'm never quite sure how someone is going to react to what I say, but it seems like we've just had a short and pleasant conversation which I, speaking only for myself, enjoy.

I'm also going to watch until the end now, because I do like the characters and the acting is really good and also I just want to see where all this goes. :-)

Shi De just may not be connecting the dots, so to speak. He doesn't know exactly what Shu Yi saw when he came across them in the park, because he doesn't know the details, so all he's thinking is 'oh, all I did was spend time with my half-brother and my stepsister and help my mum. blonde girl? what blonde girl? i never went on any dates with blonde girls' without it connecting that hey, his stepsister (I'm going with the theory that the girl is his stepsister Ashley) is blonde and his half-brother is a baby and if someone saw them all together in a park what would be the logical conclusion to jump to?

I understand about PSY's affective disorder, and him not wanting a relationship because of it isn't unreasonable. It was the way he went about it when he should know better. If he wasn't a trained Doctor I'd have let it slide, but he is. I'm repeating myself here, but he should know better. He basically said ZX was crazy and that his feelings weren't real, as if ZX was a child who just didn't understand. He could have said, 'no, I don't want a relationship with you because of my disorder. I don't want a relationship with anyone.' But he dismissed ZX's feelings altogether. As for the obsession part - anyone, Asperger's or not, can form an unhealthy obsession. And ZX's with PSY doesn't seem any different to GSD's obsession with ZSY - how is ZX helping out at PSY's bar any different to GSD literally invading ZSY's home? At least ZX didn't show up drunk and assault PSY. And some people just fall in love with one person and that's it. But because ZX is neurodivergent suddenly that's not okay? Am I truly the only one who sees the double standards in this? I do agree with you about PSY and ZX being both kind of a mess. They both should see a therapist, together and separately, to sort themselves out before even attempting any kind of romantic relationship. Both of these couples just frustrate me with their lack of communication, and one trying to make decisions for the other because they think they know best. It's a good kind of frustration, but still frustration.

I don't know what the writer was intending with this episode and Shou Yi and Zhen Xuan, but it did not work for me. Maybe it's a translation issue, maybe it's a cultural thing, but Shou Yi's infantilising of Zhan Yuan is really upsetting. Ableism at it's worst. Someone being neurodivergent doesn't mean they aren't capable of making their own decisions and understanding their own feelings. Shi De has been in love with Shu Yi since he was ten and is still in love with him and that's okay, but Zhen Xuan being in love with Shou Yi for twelve years and counting isn't? Just because he has Aspergers? Double standards and hypocrisy much? Plus, both Shi De and Shou Yi not explaining that they're cousins to Zhen Yuan is manipulative and cruel. At this point I'm so torn between wanting to congratulate the writer for the mature conversations between Yi and De and wanting to slap them upside the head for their lack of understanding of how being neurodivergent actually works.

I am surprised Shu Yi hasn't thrown the blond woman and the baby is De's face by now, but I think they have to leave something for the next three episodes. I'm sure an explanation is coming, now that De knows that Yi knows. At this point, to be honest, I'm kind of more interested in what's going on with Pei and Yu.
