It's very rare to see a nice City Girl/Boy and nice villagers in a drama...In most of the dramas one of them will…
Yeah totally! Village story was kinda a turnoff for me after all those annoying villagers in other dramas, but here they seems to be so heartily. It's refreshing and wholesome :)
I'm such an avid fan of Go Ahead, so I couldn't wait until everything is out and subbed >_< I really liked the first two episodes. The acting is natural and authentic and the story is good so far. It's like a slice of life drama with wholehearted characters just how I loved it in Go Ahead. It's slow but still engaging for me.
And I was so delighted to see our best dad of Go Ahead to be here as well. I can already sense he's gonna be as wise here as well even tho he didn't get to speak a word yet XD
Is it funny? I real hate forced comedy in dramas, like in almost every Chinese drama...
IMO it's almost kinda slap-stick comedy (feels forced sometimes). Not always my kind of humor, but I still like the drama overall and you should give it a try :)
They spent the 7 episodes to build a bond between Uk and Bu-yeon and by that i think Hong sisters are trying to…
There is no happy ending if Naksu won't be there. This drama is called Light and Shadow (Uk and Yeong)... it would be the most horrible ending if real BuYeon ends up with Jang Uk ._.
Just rewatching ep 6 for the thousands time and wanted to come here to rant because I'm still so pissed at how Park Jin delivered Jang Uk's birth secret to him. And I actually saw just a few comments about that...
Like how f***ing cruel was that?!?!?! Jang Uk just died and came back to life just to find out that the love of his life died, whom he promised to protect...and Park Jin thought that was the best moment to tell him the truth about his birth?
He told him that his birth was a sin and that he should have never existed in the first place and that his sinful birth was also the cause for the death of his lover's father and her whole family, which made her a revengeful assassin and ultimately killed her too. LIKE WTF? I'm so tired of all these f***ing adults who created all this mess, just to put the blame on the innocent. I don't care what Park Jin wanted to achieve with this. "He wanted to protect him bla bla bla." No, that was just outright cruel and evil. Just how cruel Park Jin always was with Jang Uk in the disguise of "protecting" him. Protecting... My a**.... -_-
I know Park Jin and CP are always portrayed as comedic relief characters so they get away with sh*t and viewers still like them (I do too, but wow that flashback scene really got me furious). Both are actually just as cruel and evil as Jin Mu is. At least in relation to Jang Uk.
I feel so bad for Jang Uk for having to live and atone for the sins of his father. If Jang Uk doesn't get an happy ending... then no one should. Just destroy Daeho and really make it non existent on that map. >_>
Yay subs are up! I'm so thankful for fan subber like Irozuku. It's hard to find good subs of j-dramas sometimes.
This was a beautiful drama! The Finale was also really heartwarming. I wished to see more of them being together but I'm content with the ending. The messages were really lovely and I loved the dialogues. Even tho I do feel Tsugumi was the only one trying hard to save her relationships... be it with Minato or Sou. I do understand Sou, but without Tsugumi this wouldn't have been an happy ending.
I'm so sure they're gonna kill Seo Yul off. I mean it's already clear but I still had hope for him. But then I rewatched some episodes from pt1 and there were those lights/candles in the Seoho fortress for every living Seo family member which is lit, but that light turns off when that person dies... I'm pretty sure they will use a sequence where his light goes out T-T Nooo :'(
I saw that the writer of this drama also wrote "Go Ahead", my fave Chinese drama of all time. How is the drama so far? Can I expect similar well-written characters and dialogues? I'm not really into rural town dramas as mostly all villagers are written so annoyingly in other dramas... Are there a lot of annoying subplots or side characters so far?
I need some other dramas to watch than AOS... I'm too obsessed with that one, it's unhealthy lol
I watched the first 4 episodes yesterday and I'm quite enjoying it :) tbh the humour is not generally my cup of tea and too slap-stick sometimes, but it's a romcom, so I was prepared for it.
I do enjoy clichés if they are well made and here they are, so I'm good with that. The story is intriguing so far and the acting is really good. The main leads also have good chemistry.
I bet it will get more serious in the later episodes, so I'm looking forward to that :D
Who else is bothered by Kim Do Ju giving false hope to Heo Yoon Ok in first place? Now she cut that hope, but…
I just remember the scene in pt 1 where Jang Uk and Mu Deok went to make wedding rings out of yin yang jades. Yoon Ok witnessed them with the eggs on that bridge, but I didn't know she knew the meaning or what you could do with those eggs if energy is put into them...
What if.....both of them die and then reincarnate in modern day
Ugh please no... I thought i already hated the amnesia trope, but this I would hate even more 😂 If the fated Master Seo Gyeong and Jin Seol Ran didn't get their happy ending, at least Uk and Yeong should...
I'm putting all my hope on Hong sisters... hope they don't disappoint, like so many this year.
And I was so delighted to see our best dad of Go Ahead to be here as well. I can already sense he's gonna be as wise here as well even tho he didn't get to speak a word yet XD
I just have two endings which I will accept:
1. Jang Uk and Cho Yeong(!) living happily ever after
2. Everyone dies and Daeho get destroyed
I don't care for anyone's happiness except Jang Uk's and Yeong's!!! >_<
I can't seem to enjoy Park Jin and Kim Do Ju's scenes after that. I just get gag reflex watching Park Jin acting cute and happy >_<
