I hate how they all low-key know Su E Huang is a snake, yet still keep her around without ANY supervision. She freely does whatever she wants in their mansion, creating endless trouble without facing real consequences. This part of the writing feels incredibly weak and irritating.
The leads are portrayed as extremely intelligent, while Su E Huang is merely facade-smart. She's neither cautious nor genuinely clever, yet somehow the leads conveniently become lenient whenever she’s involved. I wish they’d at least written her character more convincingly, bcus her lies are painfully obvious and full of loopholes. Watching the ML pretend to buy her fake facade is exhausting and seeing him continue to tolerate her presence despite everything is even more frustrating.
What started as a refreshing youthful, cute romance devolved into a clichéd soap opera riddled with forced misunderstandings and every trope I hate.
The leads were adorable and refreshingly straightforward at first, with wonderful chemistry whenever their relationship was allowed a rare moment of peace. Sometimes I seriously wonder if the writers of these short dramas are on drugs or something 🙈
Wei Liang is such a cutie pie ❤️ But this miniature weapons scene gave me really sad foreshadowing vibes... I swear... if they kill of Wei Liang and leave Xiaotao with just that mini weapon of his ... I will riot!
But costume Cdramas just love to kill everyone off in the end... It's actually disappointing that deaths of all comrades became so repetitive that it's just cliché now.
Well, let's see if this drama gonna surprise me or disappoint me with clichés...
Just rewatching some scenes and I had to say it again... I absolutely loved the moment they first met face to face. It was so beautifully shot and acted! You could immediately see and feel that Wei Shao was smitten by her beauty at first glance... Maybe it was even love at first sight.
She and her pretty doe sparkle eyes, she looked so innocent and ethereal and him just slightly widening his eyes, but also with a few sparks in his eyes, softening his gaze... after literally saying a few seconds before, that she can be sent back with a stern face. You could instantly feel that he didn't want to sent her back anymore hahaha
What am I going to do after this drama? 😭😭😭😭 There are no Chinese dramas these days worth watching,…
Have you tried watching Cdrama "The Prisoner of Beauty"? There’s been a real drought of good dramas lately, but I’m honestly really enjoying this one :)
Is it true that netflix cancelled season 2 and we're not gonna get anymore?
2nd season was never set in stone, so technically, there was nothing to cancel. Since this is a TVING original and not a Netflix production, the decision is entirely in TVING’s hands. But I believe they wrote S1 in a way that its complete, but also has potential for a 2nd season.
The creators mentioned that it all depends on whether viewers want it. Resident Playbook was actually very well received in Korea, so let's be hopeful! :)
Joo Yeong and Seung Won being absolutely clueless of Yi Yeong and Do Won's relationship totally reminded me of the 99z squad in Hospital Playlist not believing Song Hwa when she said she was dating Ik Jun lol We all expected some big reactions from those closest to them, but the writers just love messing with us haha
wow during the crisis of low birth rates in south korea im so glad they chose to show a character who in the end…
Exactly! It broke my heart watching their struggle, but I applaud the writers for not sugar-coating such a sensitive issue ❤️🩹 So many couples try desperately without ever conceiving and it was good of the drama to show that a family can still be complete without children. Choosing to stop because it brought them more pain than joy. They can still find happiness and lead fulfilling, prosperous lives.
Hahahaha XD I would've loved to see their real reactions, but the writers did the same with 99z squad in HP when Song Hwa announced that she's dating Ik Jun. They did not believe her and joked around. I had the feeling the writers would do the same here 😅

That alone tells me you didn’t actually watch this drama lol

HP S3 and RP S2 would be my wishful thinking haha
