They keep showing DW taking trash out or recycling every time he leaves the house 😂 Is that just a random glimpse of his weird recycling hobby or are we supposed to read into it?
Or maybe it's just to show that he's super diligent, all about routines and likes everything neat and in order... in total contrast to OIY being a lovable chaotic mess lol
I thought DW saying OIY is the funniest woman he knows, was just him secretly crushing on her... but after that scene of OIY reassuring that patient after OP that she's alive and not in the afterlife so dramatically, I really laughed my a** off hahahahaha OIY really is so unintentionally funny with her reactions and how she talks 🤣
But what I still don't understand. Didn't Xuan Yue and Banxia have 5/6 years age gap? How did the child actors look the exact same age? She must have been 6 or 7 years old at that time while he was 12 years old.
Because he was 12 when he was found in human realm after saving her and 12/13 years later they met again. So he must have been 24/25 years old, while Banxia was 18 years old turning 19 soon....
I thought a good night's sleep would help me calm down and feel less disappointed about the ending... but NOPE. I still hate it lol
That ending made absolutely no sense. It felt like they forced a "sad" ending just for the sake of being tragic, not because it fit the story’s message or the characters' journeys. Such a messed up way to end an otherwise beautifully written drama.
And seriously, they made the ML a jerk by not keeping ANY of his promises. After all, he was NOT a man of his words. Some of his many empty promises and I quote:
"After what you said, how could I abandon you?" "If I go back, what about you? Besides, I can't bear to leave you." "But I can swear with my life. If you are willing to marry me, I will treat you sincerely for the rest of my life. do my utmost to make you happy and content. No matter what dangers may come in the future, I will fight with my life to protect you completely." "I haven't figure out how I should live my life from now on. I haven't figured out what path to take in the future, but I can PROMISE you this. No matter what plans I make, I will ALWAYS include you in them."
LIIIIIIES!!! Yeah, right. He left her anyway, even after she asked him to stay. It really felt like the writers had a happy ending in mind while writing all those hopeful lines, only to turn around and go, "Screw it, let’s be "poetic" and "nostalgic" instead."
If they actually wanted us to understand and empathize with why Xuan Ye chose to sacrifice everything to become clan leader and bear his responsibilities, they should’ve shown us way more about his background in Carefree Land. (Or any background at all, honestly!)
A relationship takes two people, but Banxia was the only one fighting for theirs. She was understanding, communicative and fought so hard for their love. She deserved so much better.
Xuan Ye turned out to be your typical righteous annoying hero. That’s why I always have a soft spot for anti-heroes and villains... at least they will move heaven and earth for their girl lol
Don’t get me wrong... I’m this upset because the drama was genuinely so good. That’s exactly why the ending stings even more.
What a crappy ending. I cant even defend or understand it. What is the point of taking 2 extra episodes, showing…
Gosh! You just nailed everything I see wrong with this ending. Nostalgic shit ending just did not fit any of the messages this had throughout the whole drama. I'm so disappointed.
Was that or was that not like being guided on a slow walk up a high hopeful hill with someone reasuringly whispering…
Couldn't have said it better. That fall off the cliff will leave me disabled for weeks now ... Not sure if I will recover... I need that sword to make me lose my memories ASAP!
This could've been a 10... could... have... been... ðŸ˜
I loved this drama until I didn't. Yeah, call me melodramatic, but after all they went through and all those promises, that ending WAS. NOT. IT.
It was nowhere an OE for me. It was them going separate ways in the end. I mean couldn't they have made a 12 years time-skip at least, to give us a little glimpse of hope that he will return?
After all the "humans and demons can co-exist" shit, he returns to his world and she stays in hers. Great. Really great. The writers made us hopeful with all those "I will stay forever by your side" and "My future plans will ALWAYS include you" ... bullshit, seriously... Why even write those dialogues? If I were Banxia I would riot. That man did nothing he promised lol Writers played with Banxia's heart and ours until the very last minute...
I guess Allen Ren dramas are for me to avoid now. I'm too fragile and not built for this nostalgic and poetic shit. I'm simple. I just want my two people to live HAPPILY. EVER. AFTER. Give me back fairytale endings! Is the world not full of tragic and sorrow enough? :(
Man... I'm sorry for my rant. I know no one died and I'm dramatic af.... but it's just... I really liked this drama...
It's interesting how some viewers think the romance feels forced... meanwhile I'm so obsessed with them that I’ve made them my entire personality. Fully delulu, watching FMVs like it’s my full-time job and checking MDL comments 😂 It’s been ages since I’ve been this invested in a couple hahaha And it's ALWAYS the non-romance dramas that get me good lol
This drama just never gets boring! I’ve loved every single episode and arc up to episode 26. I also really enjoy how Banxia’s character has grown. She’s so straightforward and bold. I love that about her. She’s come such a long way! Pls let this drama have a satisfying ending 🫶ðŸ˜
Can Ikjun transfer to Jongno branch for a short time, just so he can play cupid for our residents again? If Gyeoul was able to beat God then OIY will be able to crush Do Won's routine 👀😂
can someone share their thoughts on whether this is as enjoyable as hospital playlist? i really enjoyed that and…
I like it just as much! I've watched all the Playbook/Playlist series and honestly, it really comes down to personal taste. You should give it a try and see if it clicks for you :) Imo, it's quite different than HP. The characters here are more flawed, so try not to compare them too much to the seasoned doctors of HP, their friendship and unique humor.
