I loved the first two episodes! Such a strong start, in my opinion. I didn't expect it to be so violent, but it actually fits the plot really well. The female lead is an anti-hero and her behavior reflects that— it's incredibly refreshing!
I'm also loving the dynamic between the leads. At first, I thought it would follow the typical hate-to-love trope, but it seems like it's evolving into a weird cooperative partnership. They’re out to catch criminals and maybe they'll catch feelings along the way 😂 She’s quite a unhinged lunatic and needs to punish murderers and he’s a cop—conveniently close to the action and her particular... needs!
I really hope the drama doesn't give us some twist where Dan Ho's daughter is actually his niece or something.…
That's quite a far-fetched speculation. He literally told Moeum how his wife and Yeon Do were in an accident and his wife died in the aftermath... He definitely wouldn't have made that up 😅
Well., for a quite straight-forward and spicy drama... that kiss was just lame lol I mean, why? The built-up and tension for their first kiss was so good, but they totally blew it 😂
I just can't think of a good enough reason for a bad kiss like that hahaha Maybe they were watched by someone and she pretended? idk...
Chinese dramas are really good at making heart-warming family stories, so I'm curious if the Korean remake will be able to convey that. Especially the relationship between the kids (leads) and FL's father was incredibly well-made.
What made "Go Ahead" so special was not the love plot-line, but the family dynamic and how deep the relationship between the family members were, even though they were not blood-related. Korean dramas tend to focus more on romance though...
I won't be able to not compare this since "Go Ahead" is one of my all-time favourite Chinese dramas. But I'm also looking forward to the changes they made to customize it to the Korean audience 😊
The costumes of Yanle Kingdom in the last episode were so incredibly beautiful! Can someone recommend me some good dramas in Daming Dynasty or were they wear similar traditional clothing?
Ep 15... wow the FL is so reckless and incredibly ungrateful. But the worst part was, when she mentioned that confession letter... That was just outright disgusting. I actually liked her before, but ep 15 alone was a big turn off for me. Was her behaviour really necessary?
I'm all for strong and independent female leads, but I feel like drama writers have a problem writing likable ones. She was actually not that bad, but ep 15 really hit a nerve with me...
I'm so sad it's over. While this drama wasn't flawless, it was one that I thoroughly enjoyed after being in a long drama slump. I absolutely adored the leads! I love relationships where both partners are equals and treat each other with respect. Watching their journey to fully trust and understand each other and become a powerful cooperative couple was delightful to see.
However, the character who truly stole my heart was Empress Shi Xue Ji. She was intelligent, calm, brave, beautiful and so incredibly kind-hearted. I could have watched an entire show focused on her, which makes it even more disappointing that she had so little screen time.
Cdramas often spend a lot of time on secondary couples, but unfortunately, not on the ones I’m most interested in 😂 I really wish we had seen more of how the Emperor fell in love with her, because, honestly, how could anyone not love her?
Overall, it was still a lovely drama and definitely worth watching!
I love the leads, but I have a really soft spot for our foodie empress Shi Xue Ji. I love her character so much and she deserves so much better. A better family and a better husband 😭 I'm surprised the Emperor is still so obsessed with Mian Tiang, even though he has such an admirable and smart woman by his side.
I really shipped Xue Ji and the emperor in the beginning, because I was sure he would fall in love with her genuinely, but he still acts like a obsessive fool when it comes to Mian Tiang. That actor really always gets the annoying obsessive roles lol First AJTL and now here... He plays them damn well, but writers always drag it to the point of no return....
mount yang are bandits, czx works for gov't trying to get rid of bandits. that's pretty much the conflict, pretty…
I know that but there has to be more reasons why CZX sees WL as his archenemy, but one that he admires and even felt betrayed, when WL ambushed him in such a way... I want to understand those feelings, but there is no background for that...
The background story we got so far is not well explained for the personal feud they have against each other.
I wish they would show more of the conflict between Zhenzhou and Mount Yang in the past, because I have a hard time understanding the feud between Lord Huaiyang and „Wu Len“ aka LMT …
I’m on ep.21 and I know they are archenemies, but don’t know why lol According to ML „Wu Len“ ambushed him in unfair conditions, but it was not LMT, or was it? Is it the same attack we saw in the beginning of the drama, bcus that was LMT or was it another attack? I’m so confused … why did she want to kill him back then?
I saw Shin Hyun Bin in Warrior Baek Dong Soo and her acting was as stiff as a board. Probably the worst acting…
Honest opinion? I think her acting is still somewhat stiff, but I liked her character in Hospital Playlist and her latest drama was also good. She definitely improved from back then, but imo still a long way to go...
Just watched the first 10 episodes the last few days... and I LOVE IT! My gosh, I'm so happy to find a drama again in which I'm totally invested in. The last few months were filled with mediocre dramas and I just watched for the sake of watching and because I don't have any hobbies lol
I went into this drama completely cold without reading the synopsis nor reading comments. That's why I'm so surprised about the low rating here. So many boring dramas the last few weeks got better ratings lol Well you never know with MDL ratings. It's always best to try yourself :D
I'm just watching one drama right now and it's this one. Usually I watch around 5 ongoing dramas, but there is just nothing to watch atm. I hope "Love next door" will be good. There is such a drama drought right now...
I'm definitely happy with this one and I will restrain myself from reading comments here. As the rating is low, I believe not many like it and I don't want to spoil my excitement for this drama 😂
It was watchable, but imo really boring and bland… Maybe I’d have liked it a few years back, idk… The couple was cute, but barely had any chemistry. I watched it till the end because it was short, like the actors and there is nothing else to watch anyway. Real KDrama drought right now....
The steamy scenes getting more and more toxic... I know it's a kink for some, but personally too much for me sometimes 😅 How he threatened her with that candle flame was psycho... 👀
I liked him more in the past... he became much more psycho now lol Well, the writer sure had fun writing this hahaha
This drama is ridiculous and toxic, but I'm still watching 😂 I didn't really expect much depth, logic or likable characters in a short-length drama anyway haha It's a nice short watch to pass the time :D

Looking forward to the next episodes! 😊
