While watching ep7 I'm wondering why Sun Lang is nowhere in sight... Did I miss something? He was the first one to be introduced of the delegation team but I see him in no scenes and he's also not in any of their strategics discussions...
Okay, I'm commenting while watch the bonus and have to stop every few mins to come here, because every scene is so whole-heartedly haha XD The scene of the men visiting their former Boss and his family was also so cute! Xu Zi Quan had hearty eyes with the little girls! He would be such a great father material as well 😂 I could totally imagine him adoring his little daughter 😍
Gosh! What I wouldn't give to see a second season of them married and with kids... 😅
Any suggestions for dramas like this, where adults are adults, conversations are meaningful, and the romance is…
Meet Yourself. I highly recommend this drama for the conversations and natural development of the leads. Even tho I'd say the romance is rather cozy/warm/soothing than sizzling :)
OMG! Just coincidentally saw that there are Bonus scenes of this drama and they are sooo cute! I love this couple…
And the talk between Zi Quan and his friend was such A+++++++! I think I've never seen such a realistic, mature and thoughtful conversation between two grown men about life, society and marriage.
OMG! Just coincidentally saw that there are Bonus scenes of this drama and they are sooo cute! I love this couple so much that I could watch 40 eps of them being together. Even after getting together they are so much fun! This drama should've at least 20 eps... 14 were too less. But I'm glad there was no dragging, unnecessary misunderstandings etc. Maybe 14 eps were just the perfect amount, but I'm still happy we get at least additional scenes here.
The scene with the parents was cute and ML turned out to be such a great bf and husband material 😄
There is actually no ML who's so charismatic, flirty and still green flag like him. Or is there? I also love Xie Zhi Yao of Meet Yourself. One of the greenest flags ever! But he is less flirty haha XD
how many times i have written this every time i have watched chinese drama.*most chinese dramas are "OVER-DRAMATIC"…
Agree! These two dramas are total gems in between all those shallow dramas. I've watched both mainly for the romance even tho I'd say the focus was definitely more on the "life" aspect. But both of them had such a natural development of relationship and so authentic and healthy! I wish we had more of those 😭
the story is good from the start and later found boring due to a lot of characters. it should keep simple and…
Both of the dramas you listed has the same or even more amounts of characters, so wdym? 😅 I guess this might just not be your cup of tea. I enjoy this so much more than SOKP. That was boring to me, because it was just too heavy on the politics and palace stuff. It's all a matter of taste in the end :)
The Imperial Guardsman is Zheng Qingyun. I don't think that he is the end game for her. Perhaps Li Tongguang might…
Yeah I know that the Princess likes that Imperial Guard. It was actually already shown in ep 2 when she was caught by him eavesdropping the court.
I know that Princess has a much higher status, but I just ship her with Yuan Lu because he helps her and they have the same cute vibes. I feel we won't see much of that Imperial Guard, since he isn't even listed in the support leads 😅
I'd love if they make Princess Yang and Li Tongguang a pair, because that dynamic would definitely be interesting. But Li Tongguang captured the emperor and killed so many of Wu people including Ning's friends/comrades of Heaven Path, so I can't imagine him having a happy ending. Pitiful and mistreated Antagonists like him never have a happy ending...
And of course, I ship destined Ren and Ning. Their chemistry is unmatched haha XD Just curious what kind of history she has with Li Tongguang :D

I think she meant guard/soldier Yuan Lu? Or maybe I'm wrong but I ship the Princess with Yuan Lu haha 😂
Li Tongguang is ruthless and the antagonist so far. He killed the Heaven Paths brothers of Luidan Hall, so I don't really think he will end up with anyone... Even tho it would be really interesting if they pair him up with the princess.
But why do I feel that there is something between him and Ren Xin because of that flashback. She taught him how to fight/had duels with him. I'm curious what kind of relationship they had back then. Friends or maybe just comrades...
I was actually so surprised by that but in a good way! Because that's how assassins are and I like that they didn't make them lenient towards their enemies or betrayers.
Problem with all modern dramas are they are shallow and silly scripts. And because they can, they make it into…
Not all of them. There are gems inbetween all those shallow ones. Like Pytheos mentioned, there are definitely good ones especially in the slice of life/romance genre. But yeah, LYX hasn't been in a good modern drama so far imo 😅
I just wish to see him in another drama which I actually like to finish 😂
The young princess is absolutely adorable! And I love how our power ranger guards are so protective over her :D The death stares they gave to those two delegation companions, every time they reprimanded the princess, were hilarious 😂
He needs a good FL to match his acting skills. No matter how good he is, without a matching response, it is dead…
That's true as well, but the script is important as well... And I feel he doesn't really have many good dramas with good and well-written story and that's a shame >_<
I'm on ep 3 and I can already tell that this will one of my fave Wuxia/Xianxia this year alongside TTEOTM and MJTY! I absolutely love dramas which has such well-written characters and adoring companionship. And both ML and FL are so likeable!!!!
They are both head-strong, smart, cunning and badass in their own ways! I love the FL! She's hilarious in some way when she's pretending 😂 Never seen that actress before, but I love her! Her acting is natural! I'm so happy that both leads are played by great actors! They both fit their characters so well!
But I had to laugh so much, because I didn't expect Alen Feng to play such a chaotic character! XD He usually plays such serious roles, so I was taken aback hahahaha
Also the comedy is quite natural and not over-the-top. I love that aspect as well! Some scenes really cracked me up XD
I really wish Luo Yin Xi would pick better scripts like that of TTEOTM. I had hopes for Love Is Panacea, but I dropped it. If the drama scripts were as good as his acting, then I would enjoy so much more of his dramas. But the ones I watched were just mediocre to me, while I did enjoy "Love is Sweet", it was still just okayish to me. I really wish he had better dramas, because I LOVE his acting so much!
The best of his I've seen is still TTEOTM to date. I wanted to watch Ashes of Love... but I'm not sure if I can watch LYX in pain again. His acting makes me so attached to his characters that it's affecting my mental health haha 😅 I need a break from a suffering LYX without a happy end in sight...
