Hmm... I really don't know why I can't get into this drama T-T Usually those slow-paced character driven dramas are totally my cup of tea. But so far until ep 7 I only enjoy the leads. I'm watching "Fake it till you make it" simultaneously and both strongly depict the society and work issues. But here I find the side characters kind of cliched and boring while in FITYMI they are more relatable and likable. I actually don't have anything against cliches or cliched characters if they're enjoyable, but I just don't click with any of the other characters here...
I guess I will put this on hold for now. Maybe I'm just not in the mood for a drama like this right now ๐
Just finished ep 1... and well it was okay. I won't judge by one episode but one thing I really don't like is the huge amount of annoying characters.
Maybe it will get better, but I was so annoyed at all those side characters. I actually have a hard time watching drama where I don't like 80% of the characters. I mean is it really necessary to have so many overbearing characters in a drama? Is it so hard to write a drama with likable side characters? Just look at "Meet Yourself". So many side characters and hardly anyone was annoying, so I enjoyed every scene. It's like everyone except the leads are just mean people and the leads have to put up with it. I just find it frustrating...
I know that it's to show how they overcome their hardships in society, but I really don't want to spent time watching a douchebag as a SML. How could a smart woman like her be married to someone like him. Even if he was different in the past... He couldn't have been so different right? I wish the reason of their divorce would've been not him being a cheating douchebag. Because I've seen that scenario a hundred times already.
All those annoying characters in the first ep... Had sometimes the urge to skip and it drained my energy to watch the second episode.
Likable characters so far: ML, FL and SFL
A lot of annoying characters: cheating husband, idea stealing team Leader, exploiting co-worker, Adding further extras: man breaking up with gf on train, sexist gossiping client, gold digger model...
Maybe I will wait a little longer until more eps are out... so that I can skip annoying characters in peace haha
I didn't scroll through the comments because I didn't want to spoil myself, so I don't know if someone already asked. But are the subs good on this drama? Can I start watching it?
Just saw JK on the Today Birthdays slides and clicked on his profile. But then I see that he is listed as a guest or performer on several variety shows he never was on... Like the one in the year 1986 at Music Station... 11 years before he was born hahaha ๐
Wow, what an intense scene of Xin Zi and Jia Bai! The acting was phenomenal! Even tho Jia Bai totally creeped me out, his acting made him so pitiful that I had empathy with him. Absolutely authentic and heartbreaking scene. So well-written!
And I love our leads so much! They are still sexy, flirty and natural while dating and I love it โค๏ธ๐ฅ Xu Zi Quan especially seem so happy. They've just been together for a short time but he's already thinking about marriage even tho with his last gf he didn't want to marry... And now that birth of his goddaughter seemed to make him think about the future...
But why am I so anxious? I'm scared we are getting a break up T-T The moment Cheng Ke appeared my heart immediately felt heavy. And she added him on WeChat without telling Xu Zi Quan. I have so much trust issues >_< I hate when people say that when a pairing doesn't end up together it's "realistic" and when they do it's "fairytale". No it's not. People can end up together and be content and happy in a relationship. Please writers!!! Don't break my heart. I'm begging you. ๐ญ
The ending of ep 9 was so good. Have fun watching! Xiang Liu forever!!! ๐
Not sure if I want to watch s2. Might skip it. Nothing for my fragile heart and mental health ๐ At least I have still months to detach myself emotionally from Xiang Liu until s2, so I'll consider hahaha
She is also reacting based on the environment, she got warning signals as wellโฆ if you are biased against FL…
Where did I diss an actor? I'm not a Rowoon fan btw. But I do like his character here. I actually came for Jo Bo Ah because I loved her in Military Prosecutor Doberman. But I don't click with her character here. My opinion doesn't have anything to do with either actors but with the characters they portray.
Even tho ep 4 was quite funny because Shin Yu was hilarious and Rowoon is slaying his role... I really don't like the premise and the base of their relationship.
So they are "forced" to fall in love with each other. Be it the spell, the past or "destiny". There is nothing organic or sincere in their feelings and I feel that is absolutely not romantic.
And can they please make FL a little bit more likable? How she tried to avoid taking responsibility after the mess she made was really annoying. She's too childish for my taste. It's not cute imo.
Did she really ask him if he had sex? I don't speak Mandarin so I don't know if it's mistranslation.
I don't speak Mandarin either but it's on viki, so I thought it's the right translations... Maybe some Mandarin speaking/understanding viewer can confirm?

Her acting in AOS was mediocre, but maybe it was her role which didn't offer much. idk... Still hope she won't disappoint...
Anyway happy birthday JK โค๏ธ

โค๏ธโค๏ธ Always thrilled to see a fellow Xiang Liu supporter โค๏ธโค๏ธ
Xiang Liu forever!!! ๐
Even if their feelings gonna be based on their past or destiny. It's not organic and doesn't feel romantic to me at all.
